i stopped taking pictures because it seemed people lost interest in my grow-log.

anyway, i used 5-gallon buckets with 3 gallons of potting soil and my aforementioned mix. when the plants started flowering, i cut the top part of the buckets completely off (a good 5" of bucket.) my plants are not rootlocked and are doing very well. My Short Riders are very, very short compared to everything else I have ever grown. Mine are straight bushes at this point with buds all over them. I will take some pictures a little later on this morning after I have had a cup of coffee or two... Anyway, they are very nice auto's and I am glad that mine have not encountered any stretching. I am guessing this is because of how many CFL's I use and how close I keep the lights (all the bulbs are within an inch to an inch and a half of the leaves.)​

i have new light fixtures that i will be attaching to the side instead of coming from above. plants are about maxed out at height so i am not too worried!​

hey man i was thinking about growing SR they look really promising. i would be also using clf's too. is a mixed spectrum the way to go? i was thinking about using 3 6500k and 3 2700k for one plant, would that work?

add some more pics bro. i'm dying to see the results!

Check out the grow journal in my signature. I am growing Short Ryder too with awesome results! Haven't smoked any yet but I am thoroughly impressed with this plant.

i have 10 Short Riders in the mail from Nirvana right now :D
i plan on doing a simple breeding project to get plenty of beans for future use, without pollinating the Photoperiod plants.
will probably start them in the 5x5 dual 600w Jardin, thanks for the knowledge/experience and lots of good pics.

ok, so both of my plants are done. i yielded just under 3 ounces from both of them. i also cut them both down a week and a half early for no good reason whatsoever. i have 4 new short riders going right now and will update this thread with pics from the last crop probably tomorrow on my day off. they are curing right now, but my other 4 are about 13 days old now. just ordered some northern lights autoflower beans from Nirvana. I am looking forward to growing it after having such good results with Nirvana Snow White. sorry for the delay and my absence, shit happens...​

Congrats on your harvest. I would ask why you chopped them early but you already stated it was for no good reason.

You are going to love Short Ryder. I am growing it right now and couldn't be more impressed. If you have any questions check my grow log in my sig or just pm me. 4 or of 5 germinated, all are female as promised and have grown wonderfully. Here is a pic of my ladies at 47 days old today:

how big were they when you harvested them? were they about the same size as they were in the pictures on page 5?
