Thanks JM !
Holiday Dankness starting with Halloween........................lol
How long do you dry/cure for and what method do you use?

So now i know what preflowers look like, they have popped up everywhere. It might sound crazy but i swear some of the leave are gettin a tiny bit frosty already?!? I did a res change today as it sunday and i also adjusted the nutes 0.84ml/L of micro, 1.77ml/L of grow, 2.5ml/L of bloom and 2ml/L of Cal/Mg. I'm hoping that with the increased bloom nutes and decreased grow and micro that this will stimulate some bud growth.

The plant that was severly damaged is now a monster with three massive branches that hopefully will develope into fat cola's.

The biggest plant has really filled out and is really branchy

This one just keeps growing upwards and has no side shoots, not to sure why?

and here's the rest

and its just 17 days till I'm in the dam smoking some dank bud, instead of the shit they try to pass off as dank round here.

Drying and curing times are dictated by the environment.
Heat/Cold and humidity to be precise.
As well as bud density and weight.
Most, in my experience, are dry and ready for the jars after hanging 3 - 7 days.
When the buds feel crispy to the touch but the stems still bends without completely snapping apart, I cut the buds I can cut off the main stem and leave the rest on the cola, and jar them at that point.
I burp the jars 3 - 4 times a day or every 6 - 8 hours for 15 - 20 minutes at a time, or less if not too moist still.

Thats sounds shorter than what i accounted for, I read 2 weeks drying 2 weeks curing but if you dry/cure for a shorter period and it works, than thats good enough for me, i will do now the same...the quicker i can have a smoke on my own crop the better:weed:

So today i had a quick peek this morning before work and everything was the same just more growth, then tonite i didnt have a proper look untill just before lights out and there are tiny little buds everywhere!! HAPPY DAYS!!, i'm sure the increased bloom nutes helped. I'm hoping there is going to a bud explosion over the next few days and weeks.

I'll post pics tomorrow or maybe wednesday, give the buds time to develop so there is something worth uploading.

So now that the plants are getting taller I've moved the lights around. Where i had one of the 300w CFL's either side of the 600w HPS i now have moved them so they provide side lighting closer to the plants because of how bad CFL's lumens diminish over distance. I feel this is a better use of the lights.

Bud sites popping up everywhere, I think i might of done something right this time, even lower down the stems there are little buds popping up. I've got a good feeling about this grow. I think it could the fact that I am posting it on RIU and getting the expert input from others.

I have been wondering if the buds will be mature enough and developed properly when i chop them 1st of december, little over 6 weeks time (I have no choice in the matter as i have to move on that day). On Nirvana's website they say 7-9 weeks flowering for their photosensitive NL and its the same for the AF NL?!?. This is strange as it says on the site that their AF's knock 2 weeks off flowering time. So surely this would put AF NL at 5-7 weeks? I dunno??

On another note, I was looking for travel insurance for me and my partner for our amsterdam trip and we cant find an insurer who will cover accidents while under the influence of drugs/alcohol. Now seeing as this the whole point of the trip i dont mind paying an extra premium for it but it seems the underwriters are unwilling to underwrite any accident that is directly or indirectly involed with drugs/alcohol. I find this strange as there are stag/hen parties(bachelor/bachelorette for you americans), lads weekends and the like, who go to places like prague, amsterdam, dublin with the sole intention of getting completely wasted. You would think an insurer would cater for this.

Anyways I will post pics tomorrow as i had to go to my mums after work to setup my little brothers X-Box live for him and didnt have enough time to take any before lights out.

Sounds like you're on top of the situation JM !
Glad to read you're happy with what you see too.
Hopefully it'll be done when you need it to be.
Keep an eye on them trichs is all.
NL is mostly Indica, so you should have dank at week 6 bloom regardless.

Cheers flo, I do have good vibes about this grow and my partner has aswell, which is encouraging. I was thinking that maybe the indica genetics will carry it thru potency wise as i am harvesting early, its nice to get it confirm by a seasoned pro.

This morning I had a quick look at the ladies and and the plant that got munched, one of its branches was a good 2" higher than the rest of the canopy and i didnt want to raise the lights for one cola, so i had an attempt at LST. I arched the branch slightly. I had no twine around(I think Dougal, my dog, has had it) so i used speaker wire which worked well. When i came home the branch had started to grow back towards the light in an S shape. I have now moved the knot closer to the end of the branch so hopefully it will arch. There are 2 sideshoots on this branch that have really stretched and are really reaching for the lights.

The buds are starting to fill out a little now, they actually look like buds now anyway here they are:

LOL, I love how those branches insist on being disobedient !!
I think im gonna have to keep moving the knot I'm doing it twice a day at the moment.

Hey jesus. Plant looking good. Glad I could be of some help. Good luck with your grow bro.
Cheers Cryp, I hope ur ladies return you some dank bud for all your time and effort

So theres not much to report just more bud growth every where. I also trim 2 leafs max a day off each plant but only if they are blocking light to other budsites. Also something i forgot to mention is that i smashed my cooltube at the begining of the grow. It was cracked when it was delivered and because i got it sent to my work i didnt check it before it got signed for(someone else signed for it). So i couldn't return it, anyway i accidently let it drop on its side and it cracked all over. I'm not to worried at the moment as i dont have temp issue's. Still a bit pissed about it though.

Done a bit of LST today on two other branches/colas on the same plant where i've got another one tied down. So thats 3 altogether. LST seems to work well and the plants really take to it. I'm hoping to get more even light distribution. Also trimmed a few leaves here and there to open up a few budsites. I will do a full update tomorrow with pics.

bump........
Sorry had some friends round for a smoke last nite, playing the card game Grass, dont know if anyones played it, your basically a weed dealer selling pot, highly recommended. So heres the update

Update

So the plant that i have been LST'ing on has responded well. I've tied down the three main colas that where around 1 1/2 - 2 inches taller than the rest of the canopy (probably because its directly under the light) So instead of raising the light further from the canopy I thought i'd bend the branches over and now i have a fairly even canopy. I gave them their first full dose of bloom nutes yesterday 1.11ml/L of micro, 2.22ml/L of grow, 3.33ml/L of bloom. They look like they have drunk it up and there is no signs of nute burn, and i reckon like i can see the increased nutes speeding up bud developement over night. I dont think my plants have finnished stretching yet as they are getting taller each day, the rate of growth has eased off a little recently but it is still noticable, i thought after around 10-14 days of 12/12 they stop stretching, i dont know...maybe its different with this strain?

Not much else to report, just more budsites popping up everywhere.

Earlier i pulled the plants out of the tent so i could trim the plants at the back (they have been a bit neglected and grown quite bushy) I've open up a few budsites here and there. Anyway, while i got them out i could take some better pics...or so i thought. I could not get the lighting right and i didn't want to turn the lights off and then have to wait 20 mins to turn them back on. so here they are, apologies for the crap lighting.

Yeah I'm happy with the garden, Its starting to smell more skunky each day. If the rate of growth carries on at this rate, i should have some nice nugs come harvest

How far above the top of the canopy is the light ?
Sometimes the stretch is them trying to get more light.
