About 3,4 of us are growing Nirvana NL Auto right now and I don't recall any problems.

I'm usin nirvana NL and I'm on around day 32-35 all 10 of mine started a week or 10 days ago but I have heard from several ppl on here that nirvana are really shit....this is only my first grow so ive not experienced any problems from them yet. The 2 ppl you need to explain this to is jeffdogg or tek they seriously no their shit and could probably give you some hood advice, they both sorted me out when mine were nearly dead and now they are sweet!

Seems to be a problem with with autos period. If you do a google search, you'll find that many others have had this same problem. From some of the suggestion I've read, 24/0 light schedule might be bad for autos (18/6 is better), that auto's flower at different rates and aren't on a schedule, that stress can cause flowering to be postponed, or that they just that autos as a whole aren't stable.

Ive stressed mine to the max, the light went out for 4 days mid grow, starved them of nutes, temps were hittin 41 degrees in C not F!! Ive been sticking to 18/6 the whole way thru give or take an hour here or there

damn beaves your only abut a week ahead of me and yours are all nearly 3x the size of mine. As i said i LST'd em but damn im gettin kinda worried. Hopefully they will get the growth spurt near the end.

@Panki01 that does seem kind of a long time how big are they now? Mine are all showing flower now (day 28) and some as early as 14 days but have you stressed them out? This can delay flowering. Ive also heard that light leaks during dark period can delay flowering? Not sure to be honest 1st time with autos have a look at my thread someone posted above theres more qualified growers responses there.

Also dl290485 told me changing to 12/12 wont make any difference because autos are not photo sensitive and its there genetics that determine when they make the switch. If they take longer to flower than at least they should yield more due to longer 'veg' growth?

@ reelist....I aint got a clue what ive done right but I hope my luck carries thru to my second grow lol mine went thru a huge spurt during the final 10 days leading to proper bud development so I hope yours do too mate!! What light you growing under? And what medium?

if the plant is stressed it will take longer at any phase
12/12 most likely wont do anything except make your plant grow slower
lighting has nothing to do with the flowering
seed - 10 days <~~~~ seedling
10-21days <~~~ preflower/veg <~~~ this is not flowering just the plant showing sexual maturity
21 days - 6 weeks <~~~ veg i have had one start flowering at week 10
then vertical growth stops and starts flowering

yeah my NL is still veging shes gotten a little taller but only by a node or 2, shes just over the 2ft mark but im not using a MH or Hps i bought a LED and it was great for the fan leaves but almost 2 weeks ago i had to start using a CFL to get her insides going on both my NL and my Tundra. The tundra started off sub-par and i had to use some chop sticks so the fan didnt blow her over but shes already flowering and her stalk has gotten woodier the longer shes been alive. i guess ill just have to wait it out and see.

For next time does anyone have any tricks to increase the stem size, ive been using organic fertilizer and it has about 8 bottles that are combined at different stages of growth but ive had to make a bit of my own blend because the chart is good for an 8 week regular fem and not a auto fem. i guess the next grow im gonna. These autos are more like christmas trees and less like bushes because they cannot be topped but the next grow i will be topping a reg fem and hopefully get a great plant or 2 (nice and bushy)

i've grown nl autos from Nirvana and have never had a problem. i'll be harvesting another one in two days: they always finish between 76-81 days after germination. yes, i top all of mine but never after they are 10 days old. i usually get about 3 z's. GL

from what i always hear, topping autos always stresses their already short life span but if you have had success then it might be worth a try next time

I have heard topping an auto only shocks them for a day or so, but it has to be done at the right time. Tek knows a lot more than I do tho!

i also read that topping autos was too stressful. Had i known i would have topped then tied down the 2 shoots. Just to clarify when is the best time to top autos in your opinions?
