hi .

i have 5 plants outside in a wood shed 6x4 i have lined the inside with black & white its all ok water tight no probs there .,im just worried about temps throughout the day its freaking freezing cold day & night & its getting worse hear in the UK ,the plants are on 12-12 under a 600w dual spectrum light which is on through the night as the temps are really low at night time so im thinking they should be sound thro the night with the temps they need ?

question is do i need a fan heater for the day time when the light has gone off to get that temp up ? or are they ok even if its cold can they stand it ??? .

i have also noticed the humidity level is high 80% or higher ?

thanks

Keep temps above 18C and below 28C.

RH needs to be 35-55% during flowering.

Anything over 65% is inviting mould to grow.

If your RH is THAT high, you really need some air moving 24/7.
I personally try and keep my temps between 55 and 80 degrees, but that's just me.

that sounds odd, freezing temps normally don't go along with high Humidity

and I agree. try to keep it at 22-28C doing lights on and 15-20C at night time and get the humidity down if its really on 80% atlest get it down under 60%

best of luck

p.s

I would consider a small oil radiator in there, cheap and run on electricity, just remember to cover the lights on it if it have any or it will mess up your plants in flowering, even a tiny LED light from the on/off bottom can mess it up ..

cheers all ,

i have just been in the room now the temp with the light off in day is 36f- &- 85% humidity ,i think you are right i need some air flow in there ,but i don't want to add a normal fan in there i think it will just make things even colder wont it ? .so i have ordered a fan heater of eBay so i think that might help ,get the air flow + the heat .

slipon i never new that a tiny light could effect the flowering ,thanks

Purchase a good de-humidifier and it will solve both problems. Temps below 55 degrees is death. 10 degrees difference is the max range for my room. With the heat from the de-humidifier it will warm up the area while dropping your r/h. Watch it though when the light is on you may have heat issues.

Good Luck
