ur ec is im sure fine, def not the problem at all. the problem is u have that light too close and ur heat stressing the fuck out them unless you have a 800cfm fan running through that light along with an a/c too. shit is too close for those little plants mang, move that light up to about 20" you'll notice huge difference they'll grow like its no fuckin tommorrow

chill dude.. i know. but i was panicking,

a dude who is supposed to know his stuff, said set the nute reading to 12/14 ec. for the first week in the nft tank. and then up it weekly.

and thats what i did.. after 3/4 days plants start yellowing. mainly in the middle and at the side.. middle started first.
room temp is set to 24.. and the water temp is 20..

as of last nite.. i desided to flush with a week solution..
at the mo its. 1.2..
and ive lifted the lights to 12in.

i wasnt sure what was going on and needed help fast..
so any help would be great. :weed:

Hey cuckoo I got your PM. How often are you changing your reservoir? I really can not tell much from you pictures, its helpful to take pic under normal non-HID lighting because HID lighting tends to wash out the picture and make everything look yellow. What kind of meter are you using? I'm a PPM guy and I need to know the type of meter so i can convert more accurately to PPM. You are running a 800-1100 PPM @ 1.6. That does sound a bit high for your small plants.

I would change out your reservoir cut the EC back to 1.0 and adjust your PH to 5.8. If your PH is fluxing between 5.8-6.2 that can also cause problems. Did you pre-soak your rockwool in PH adjusted water before placing your cuttings? Then monitor your PH and EC closely over the next few days here is a good way to determine correct nutrient strength:
1. Water level drops PPM/EC rises: PPM/EC is too high lower your nutrient concentration in relationship to PPM/EC rise
2. Water level drops PPM/EC stays the same: PPM/EC is a appropriate levels
3. Water level drops PPM/EC drops: PPM/EC is too low raise your nutrient concentration in relationship to PPM/EC drop

thanks Newgrowth..

That was the first week of putting them in the nft tank.
iam using a ec metre. and intend to change tank once aweek..
the little girls are about 10in tall.
2 nights ago i decided to pump most of the tank and add ph sorted water.
i also raised my cool lite to 12ins from about 8ins

the result was i checked the little girls last night before bed..
and the leaves have started to return to the lush green they once was.. :weed:
