Next run.

My next run I plan to order 4 feminised seeds of the same strain which I have not decided on yet. I will run 4 DWC single 5 gallon buckets. Vegging 2 to 3 weeks under t5 lighting. Then til week 6 to 8 under a 1000 watt Metal Halide conversion bulb. Then when I flip to bloom I use 1000 watt HPS to flower with an eye hortilux bulb. I am growing 8 different strains now and I can't try different methods of training on these girls. I topped and suppercropped and used a scrog net to train them this time. Next time I'm using the same strain for four plants for a test I want to conduct to see which methods yield the best and which ones simply don't and to see if defoliation works or it's better not to remove fan leaves. I will be using general hydroponics Flora trio nutes with 0 ppm RO water, calimagic and hydroguard. Flowering the only additives I add is liquid koolbloom. My 1st test plant will be all natural. Grown straight up to the scrog net, no defoliation at all in veg or flower unless leaves are dead and come off willingly, the only training I'll do to her is train under the scrog net so I don't burn her. The second test plant will be only low stress training, tying to plant down only for training with no defoliation in either stage. My 3rd test plant will be topped twice or three times for 4 to 8 colas and defoliated right before I flip to flower, then defoliate at 30 days into flowering, then a final defoliation at day 45 of flowering. My 4th test plant will be fimmed once for 4 colas and trained under the scrog net with lighter defoliation than topped plant

GH flora trio is great. When do you use koolbloom and how much? Have you seen anything from using it?

I decided to add a 5th plant to the test, same strain, will top it the same amount of times as the first topped plant in test 3. Test 5 will be topped like that plant at the same exact time except I won't do any defoliation during this plant test to see if defoliation works better than not defoliation.

My goal is to see if defoliation yields better or not. And what training method works the best. Then I will utilize what I learn in my future grows. It's all about learning and trying different things until you find what's right for you and your setup. Then my 3rd grow I plan to use all the same strain and use only what I learned on all the plants and yield as much as I possibly can. That is my future goal as a hobbyist farmer

My guess is topping or lst will yield the most. And I predict defoliation will work better than not. There's a huge debate whether or not to defoliate so I plan to test it
