Hi m8 I would say the new leaves are definatley looking better like you say forget the old leaves they will just die and drop off and the plant will concentrate on the upper leaves. I found this information out maybe it could help in what the plant needs, seems too early to be giving nutes but I started giving mine just a couple of drops only a couple of weeks into veg.
NITROGEN (N)
Pale plants, red stems, smaller growth. Rapid yellowing of lower leaves progressing up the plant. Add any chemical fertilizer containing N. Treated plants recover in about a week.
PHOSPHORUS (P)
Slow or stunted growth, red stems. Smaller leaves that are dark green. Lower leaves yellow and die. Add chemical fertilizer containing P. Affected leaves will not show recovery but new growth will apear normal.
POTASSIUM (K)
Affected plants are usually tallest and appear to be most vigorous. Necrotic spots form on lower leaves. Red stems. Leaves appear pale or yellow. Add chemical fertilizer containing K.
CALCIUM (Ca)
Lack of calcium in the soil results in the soil becoming too acid. This leads to Mg or Fe deficiency or very slow stunted growth. Treat by foliar feeding with one teaspoon of dolomatic lime per quart of water until condition improves.
SULFER (S)
Plants suffering from S definciencies exhibit yellowing of new growth. Mix one tablespoon of Epsom salts per gallon of water until condition improves.
MAGNESIUM (Mg)
Lower leaves yellow and may even turn white while veins remain dark green. Blades die and curl upward.
IRON (Fe)
Leaves on growing shoots turn pale and veins remain dark green. pH imbalances make iron insoluble. Foliar feed with chemical fertilizer containing Fe or rusty water.
MANGANESE (Mn)
Necrotic and yellow spots form on top leaves. Mn deficiency occurs when large amounts of Mg are present in the soil. Foliar feed with any chemical fertilizer containing Mn.
BORON (B)
Growing shoots turn grey or die. Growing shoots appear burnt. Treat with one teaspoon of Boric acid (sold as eyewash) per gallon of water.
MOLYBDENUM (Mb)
Yellowing of middle leaves. Foliar feed with chemical fertilizer containing Mb.
ZINC (Zn)
White areas form at leaf tips and between veins. Occurs in alkaline soils. Zn deficiency can be treated by burying galvanized nails in the soil. Chemical fertilizer containing Zn can also be used.
OVER FERTILIZATION
Causes leaf tips to appear yellow or burnt. To correct soil should be flushed with three gallons of water per one gallon of soil.
What are you measuring the PH level with m8?

oh god thank you useful information see I like how you identify the problem took the time to understand what it is I have been going through and then suggest real solutions you have always been down to earth thanks a million rep you for that I have been useing an active air three way meter honostly I am a bit scared to check its ph right now Im not sure if i dip this probe into these small sturofoam cups if the metal probes will hurt the roots

It will be alright m8 the plants roots will mainly be down at the bottom anyway and as long as you dont damage the crown (middle), just put it in towards the outside of the cup about half way down it'l be cool. Post the PH reading for me

Yeh thats right m8 thats the PH reading along the bottom, ideally it should be 6.5 and you can lower it using sulphur, what about the PH of the water does that bit of kit do the same for your water aswel??

yes it does work my water tap here is at 6.8-7.0 ph is that cool now how do i do this thing with the sulpher, what about the ph up and down liquids any good?

You can use PH down if you have some thats what I use but thats only for the water, you will have to use something like sulphur for the soil. My waters about 8.0 to start off with so takes about 2-3 drops of PH down. When you start using nutrients that drops it down about .4 or so depending on how much your using. The PH level of the water should really be between 5.8 - 6.2 I would say after doing quite a bit of research on its so I keep mine at 6.0 and the Miracle grow potting soil has a PH of 6.5 anyway so I dont have to ajust this

When you put the plants into bigger pots mix some sulphur in the bigger pots soil before you transplant. 5 or 6 ounces of sulfur will reduce the pH level by 1. (Info I found) - Introduce those compounds to your soil. It's important to spread it through the soil and not pile it in one spot. If you pile the compounds in one spot then it will end up having a disproportionate amount of either. Use a spreader or even just a shovel to distribute the lime or sulfur evenly.

sweet now thats some serious food for thought I figured I will trans plant these babies in the nest two days into a 5 gal pot and let them re cope the trans plant then mix some blood meal 15-0-0 in the soil and over time shouldnt the blood meal lower the ph as well as providing nitrogen for veg stage, I will also try and get some ph down and keep my water ph down alittle more I woud use arrowhead water but seeing how there is calcium and magnisium in the tap water and seeing how im using not so great soil i figure the nutrients from the tap water would be benificail to them what do you think?

also if you take your leaves and drop them into regular rubbing alchol and let them sit you have a topic that you can rubb onto you arthritis and works better than any ban gay or topical on the market

Looking good m8 looks like they're going to pull through nice 1, the 1 on the top right had a bit of a scary start but the new leaves look fine just like the others. What light do you have them under again m8??

currently just 2 27 watt cfl daylight will be getting like four more for a total of six, I gonna wait until rain passes here in los angeles like begging of april and grow two out door and two indoor just for the interest of educating myself with different variables. hopefully there all gonna be girlz

Cool, is it quite chilled where you are then for growing? god if the next door neighbour even got a sniff round here they would grass on ya lol. I too enjoy educating myself I seem to get through life that way
