More growth... another set of phonebooks removed (one left. eek)...

Topped off with 1.5 gallons of water, again going to wait to day 14 to do a full res change

PLENTY of budsites.. just waiting 'till I see BUDS... aww my mini colas... lol

Thats really about it, nothing much to talk about 'em, hoping veg growth starts to slow and bud growth picks up

Awww, beat me to it. Yea I was gonna say you should make plans to get more height space because they won't slow down for another week at least.

And DL, what's the deal with the medal symbol next to your name? I've seen it before but never knew what it meant.

crap... they were 12" on day 1 of flower... now pushing 2 feet on day 9... how tall will these bitches get??

any suggestions... should I do some type of LST??

I'd rather not top/fim this far into flower

my girls usually double up their height once going into flower so you may be done...AK likes to get her STREEEEETCH on though...

its never technically to late to start LSTing but its best to start in veg. after the 3rd node...id let it ride a couple more days, see what your height is then and roll from there

You can expect double to triple the beginning flower height. So two or three feet. I know that's a big difference but it varies by strain. Looks like you might have more of the three feet variety.

LMAO Mared.this medal makes me feel kinda wierd. I think i got it from maxing out my activity level indicator bar.Bro U should check out our dwc club lmao we just got done talking about that.THe club was actually all LEGGO's idea BTW

Leggo bro ur going to have to figure out how to unfix ur hps i think.im not at all farmiliar with ur particular strain but my pinks didnt actually stop going vertical till around week 5.One of my pinks in soil only doubled sometimes wierd stuff happens inside of normal growth hieghts in particular strains to.I think

LOL i like the medal. Makes you look important. LOLOLOLOL Don't mind me. I'm puffing the first of my bubblicious and the high is crazy!! Taste is still a bit green because it's not even fully dry yet but I could see something resembling bubble gum developing here. Smell is pretty skunky too. So that's it for my mini-hijack.

I saw your dwc club stuff. Pretty cool but me no DWC. You should make it DWC and/or coco club. I mean Coco Club even has a nice ring to it LOL.

Thanks for the height help guys... I was expecting 2-3 times in height (2-3 feet tall) but wasnt expecting it so quick so soon... was afraid it might keep going and I'd have over 4 foot tall girls, thats when there is a problem :-/

Yeah, I can unfix my HPS, just need to figure a way to raise it easily... I have a slanted ceiling in my closet (under the stairs)

go get some "Yo-Yo's" from your local hydro store or hardware store...theyll make it super easy to raise and lower your lights and the slanted ceiling becomes a non-issue...

check out page one of my journal...those black things holding up the reflector are what im talking about...wont cost you over $10

well, I have a DIY HPS light (from e-cono lighting) that I installed using home depot parts... I would need some way to hang, aside from be mounted to the side of something...

Flower Day 10:

Not sure if there is a whole lot to report... I think this new growth spurt since I switched to flower may be winding down... I hope. Sway is still much taller though, dont get it. The only thing I can reason for it is that Sway is closest to the reflector hood, getting more reflective light??


Seeing more pistils... wouldn't call them 'buds' yet

Been putting off the carbon filter, but not a whole lot of need YET... maybe this weekend amongst the holiday shopping which I have yet to start. woops.

You know leggo my best advice for slowing the stretch would be to put back the CFLs you had before in there along with the HPS. The more light you have the less they will stretch. The one that is tallest is probably not that way because it is getting more light but rather because it is getting less. You gotta think about plants in an outdoor setting. If a plant is in the shade it will stretch as tall as it can until it reaches light. If it has plenty of light it will stay nice and compact. So yea, think about it. The more light the better.

You know what, I dont know why i didnt think about that... I know low light can cause stretching, I guess its because that one really is closest to the HPS, I wouldnt think it was because of LACK of light.

Would 65k CFLs put out too much blue light for flower? Will they mask the HPS and cause weak flowering?

I know, should go get some soft white CFLs... just christmas and all... we'll see.

Either-way, hopefully they're slowing down... somebody said AK-47s like to stretch in flower :-/ I should ask their mom's farmer how mom did

they will stretch for like 3-4 weeks... then they start workin on the buds
