Newbie's 2nd Grow: Need Help

Good Day fellow stoners,

I'm new to this site and fairly new to growing marijuana. I've done it successfully one time, however, the yield was very poor. Since my first grow I have learned a few things (Miracle Grow fertilizer and 4 ft flourescent tube lighting both suck) and have decided to improve on my methods a bit. I have a few questions and I am open to all suggestions, but I think I have a pretty good setup this time. So here's a description of what I have going...

I will be growing in a wooden box I built that is approximately 3ft(height) X 2 1/2ft(width) X 2ft(length). For my situation I've decided its best to go ahead and try the SCROG technique so I plan to install a screen 10 inches above the soil. The strain I will be growing is White Widow and I will be growing 2 plants in the box. For lighting I have 4 - 42Watt CFL with a total of 10,800 lumens. I'm not sure if this is enough, but I was considering getting a few more CFLs.

Now for air circulation I have a carbon filter and a small 4 inch fan installed. Since my last grow I've read extensively on the subject and have decided that organic growing is really the way to go. To do this I've researched the nutrients that marijuana needs to thrive as well as the many organic sources in which to get them from and have come up with my own soil mix that I think is pretty good, but I have no clue as to what proportions I should mix all the ingredients. Any advice??

Soil Mix:

Peat Moss
Worm Castings
Kelp Meal
Bone Meal
Blood Meal
Hydrated Lime
Epsom Salts
Perlite
Vermiculite

So that is what my plans are for my grow. The main question I need answered is about my soil mix and its proportions but I am open to discuss any aspect of my setup. Any advice, suggestions, or compliments/comments are welcome.

hello,

well it sounds like you are off to a good start. I grow in soil as well but I dont use all of the stuff you are. It sounds like it may be a bit over kill. The lime i know is for the regulating of your ph. But if you are using balanced water and nutes the PH should be fine. All I use is Fox farm ocean forrest and perlite. But hey good luck~
