Newbie!

hey im new. about to start my first grow ever (itll be indoors) this fall. me and my room mate will be doing it. Were planning on vegging under cfls and ordering our flowering light a week or 2 into veg. (Right now-its SOOOO hard to decide) Were planning on getting an hps and supplementing it with some daylight cfls, and some uvb. ahhhh ordered seeds a couple days ago from marijuana-seeds.nl got some pineapple kush and super silver haze. Hoping that will make a nice mix. still having trrouble decided specifics like soil brand/composition and nutes etc. but im tenatively thinking that a simple soil + lots of perlite would be good for our first go, ive read that high N (NPK) is good for veg, and something higher in P is good for flower, but like i said still havent gotten any specifics. Im planning on making a carbon filter based on the million billion examples of how to do so on the web. I was planning on just getting a buncha small 'bedroom' fans to ventilate the veggers (i was hoping that would be enough). and i was planning on getting an air cooled light and spending a little extra $ on a nice fan system for the flower room-this seems important. Since we bought the seeds (unfemanized) i was planning on growing basically all of the seeds from the start (25 seeds to try and get females) and doing a SOG technique the first time. So i can speed up the first harvest a little, and get as many chances for a female as possible.

I know this is a little long for a 'newbie' post but its more to help me get my ducks in a row... ive been learning alot reading around this forum, but if anything i said seems wrong, or if theres anything important im forgetting id really appreciate any advice i can get
thanks again!

google general hydroponics, they have a feeding chart online somewhere for download. dont get too fast for yourself the first grow, take your time and make sure you can master the simple stuff and take more steps after that. Good luck and enjoy

sounds good but maybe hold a few seeds in reserve in case something were to go horribley wrong. its unlikely it will but if it does at least you'd be able to start right back up. fox farm ocean forest and roots organic are both popular soils, some people like fox farm happy frog too. I've used both foxfarms soils and prefer ocean forest because happy frog holds too much moisture imo. i have yet to try root organic but i hear alot of good things about it and i plan on trying it soon myself. For nutes fox farm trio and advanced nutes veg and bloom nutes are both good options.
