Newbie Starting Grow Room Soon

Greetings,

Me and a friend have been talking about starting a grow room inside one of our houses which has a spare room.

The room is 8'X12'X10' and has 2 windows.

I think having 2 tables on 1 side of the room with 1 area for vegging under some Flo's with 1 table for the clones under some flo's as well.

On the other side of the room at first I would have 1 MV or MH flowering 8-16 plants and once the money was made another MV or MH with another 8-16 plants.

I will basicly have a 4' deep, 10' wide area for the clones/vegging/mothers and a 8' deep, 10' wide area for the 2 sets of flowering plants.

I was thinking of doing hydro since I plan on doing this over the long aul and want to rotate in the clones so that I get 2 plants coming out every 2 weeks.

1. How many Flo's and at what wattage do I need to setup a vegging station for 2 Mothers and 4-8 Seedlings/Clones?

2. I am wondering will a 400 watt MV or MH be enough light for 8' Deep, 5' Wide flowering area? Would it be better to go with 1 1000 watt or 2 400 watts if 1 400 won't cover it?

3. How would you change this setup to maximize the amount of bud it generates every 2 weeks? Ideally a QP a month or more would be great.

1. not alot.... ideal is 10,000 lumens a sq ft... but less will work... so try for 15,000 lumens? for 2 mothers and clones... depending on how big they are..? and use 65k color spec or full spec

2.whats an mv... and no a 400 watt anything would not be sufficient.... i think the ideal size for a 400 watt is about 3' x 3' ... if that helps.. i would use 2 400 watts... for the simple coverage area... 2 400 watts should be able to handle more area then 1 1k watt... also it alows you to seperate areas so its ezier to walk between/water/care for

3. nothing... keep a decent amount of mothers.... constantly generate clones( decent size) and as soon as the flowering plants are done throw some clones in... for exact numbers for clones/mothers/flowering plants search the forum... i saw a few threads that had exact numbers... also... if your just looking for yeild then try to go with a high yeilding plant... mabe try half high yeilding strain then the other half high potency... that way you got some good shit for yourself then alot more stuff thats 50/50

MV? and you will need an HPS to flower. MH is useless... Only for VEG
And what to he said 400 isnt enough but moving it is if you only want one light get a light rail or track an have it move back and forth. My last harvest was 65 plants 5 flood and drain systems back to back. with 1 400 watt Floralux light on a 4'ft light track to flower and my plants came out beautiful! But if your going to go big make sure everything is air cooled and ventalated. Or the heat from 1000 watt lights shows up on infared imaging cameras.

I wouldn't mind having a 1000, but I am trying to work with the limited budget I have for now I got to pay 2.5K into something over the next 2 months. If I sell one of my cars and pay that off then I might just go buy a 1000.

For now I am looking at getting a 400 something like this:

High Tech Garden Supply

If I get the money faster then I will get something like this (1000 watt)

High Tech Garden Supply

I just am wondering what would provide the most yield without going overboard as far as cost is concerned (as I wouldn't mind upgrading later).
