This batch is distilled water starting at 6.8. I had the same from tap water but as another troubleshooting attempt decided to try the distilled. I lower it to around 5.2 and the next afternoon it is back around 6.8. I wonder if the layer of clay pebbles raises ph like rockwool does?

I have a small veging space on 18/6 with a 125w invirolight, then move in to the flowering room ( a large wardrobe for veging and cloning) you still need to change the photo period to enduce flowering but you use the same nuets from start to finish, its so easy mate you cant go wrong ( ill post some pics of my set up in this post if you like

Did you wash the clay before you used it?. MMM 0ppm water is a big deal for some young plants spesh if they started on tap water, you have zero micro life in that water, if its expensive id go back to tap water, and i would buy a digital ph meter and a cf meter mate will save you a bomb in the long run.

Was just saying same thing to myself. Gotta get the digital. They aren't to expensive if you consider the life span and wasted chemicals. Planned on cleaning res on Sunday so I will go back to tap with a digital then.

P.S. Yes, with bleach, then soap and water, then thorough rinse with really hot water.

Good man, the biggest tip i can give you is relax and enjoy your grow fella and dont worry about every yellow leaf and brown spot, Its a tuff plant and will grow dispite a few probs, And invest in Rhitzotonic i promise it will be the best investment you make as far as neuts go its for root growth and stress relief and is amazing. Nice pics :-)

Yesterday I didn't have to drop the ph as much as I had been. Maybe 1.5 ml (vs. 3ml every day prior). I just checked it today and it has barely moved. I am thinking it may have been residual Miraclegro in the Rockwool. I will check it again tomorrow and then Sunday I am due for a res change. Feeling better now. I will pick up Rhitzotonic and a digi meter this weekend. Thanks everyone for your help.

As for where I from, I plead the 5th ;-)
