K guys new to growing my own herb.:blsmoke: I have a good spot picked out but is it too late to start a crop? (I live in SW Florida) I picked a spot that should average about 8-10 hrs partial sun. I haven't picked a strain to grow yet either and planned on seeding some of the theoretical females for seeds. I need to use pots because of the sandy soil and poor drainage. I was wondering if I should fertilize during veg and flowering or just one or the other? I was also hoping to get some advice about drying and curing the theoretical crop because my roommates girlfriend would definitely cause problems if she found out what was going on. Well I hope some of u guys with experience could help a brother out? Keep Baking!!:joint:

I have come to find out that my present soil mix is perfect. 3 parts sphagnum peat moss to 1 part regular potting soil and to 1 part regular dirt. The peat moss will help out with drainage and helping keep the nutes in the soil. I would go with an auto flowering strain, such as ak47 or low ryder. It is a bit late but you should be fine if you are in southern florida, get them started immediately.

I would recommend you getting the miracle grow peat moss, has already supplied nutes for seedlings and you wouldnt have to fert for a few weeks. Hope this is of some help...later on brother!:joint:

New questions, lolz new. I picked a good auto-flowering strain AK-48 for my grow. Then I saw a post about Bud rot and the mold and pests and I little afraid for my crop because in my area the relative humidity is like 90% everyday and around 70-80% during the night is there anything to help keep them mold free?

Like rebel said I would go with an auto flowering strain just because it will flower no matter what light schedule you give it.
As for nutes I would use Fox Farm brand. They are organic and work extremely well.

They have a calendar on the site that shows you when to use which nutes.
Keep growing and don't give up!
Pics are always appreciated once you get things up and going. :D

I am glad you went there, If you don't go organic you will taste it. Sorry but miracle grow or any pesticides is unnatural. Just my 2 cents

Thanks Toolong! :)
You know after you smoke and there is a cake of white powder in your bowl?
That is because whoever grew that bud used artificial nutes and didn't flush.
Organic is just as easy to use and waaaa better in the long run.

Don't rip on me to bad but what is the difference between natural and organic?
Organic means when something natural like leaf litter or dead animal matter is mixed together with soil. It's more complex than that but you get the idea right. Did I seem harsh, if I did sorry.
