Hi to all you guys, I'm finally about ready to attempt my first grow. I've been gathering the kit together over a long time due to some family issues, and as I'm sure many of you found the advise appears wide and varied to a Newbie.
Anyway I've roughly based it on advise from a guy who I personally know is well versed in the whole subject.
I have a 4x4x6 tent, looking at 4 plants that will come to me as 3-4inch cuttings, pots I've currently settled on 20 litre fabric, I've got a 4" carbon filter and fan (do I need a fan controller?) and have decided to use a Mars Hydro Reflector 192 led grow light, I've got a HD timer, ph tester, and some ducting arriving this week. I've seen various ideas on filter in and outside the tent, (what's the easiest way to start please.?) Do I need another filter on the tents open vent ? i'm just making frame for a Scrog net after reading all about them on this forum, I've been swayed towards using Cana Coco, Cana A and B, Cana Pk 13/14 and Cana Boost, this is where I'm starting to get mixed messages with all the advise., and again I could just do with a starting point please,I would really appreciate advise on a back to basics level and what I need to do regards temp, humidity, watering, feeding, fan use and placement ?, light time, light placement on day one ? Ciipping when ? And how ? I know I'm asking a multitude of the usual questions and there are probably loads of variants, but a simple starting point and basic plan would be greatly appreciated. I fully understand after reading, various people's experiences that I will need to move from the start plan should issues arise but I've overloaded myself on this subject over the last few weeks and I just want to get going ASAP.

MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE TO ANYBODY WHO READS THIS POST AND THANKS FOR ANY HELP OFFERED FROM A VERY LATE STARTER IN THE GROW WORLD OVER HERE IN THE UK.

I only really got an interest in grow when my mother in law was Gatling cancer and I was helping her with the oil. Sadly she passed away after a very short battle with the big C and well here I am.
I've smoked most of my life and really want to give it a try for myself now. I Guess it's yet another mid life crisis ! All the best T

Hey there adesay! Im am currently growing 3 plants scrog in Canna coco with all the canna line except canna boost. I keep my temps at around 74-78 day time and 72-75 night time. Humidity is around 40-55. I try to never let it go past 65-70% in flowering or = MoLd. Feeding is pretty simple. I just use the online canna feeding chart. Put it to light feeding to start with and go to normal gradually. I have a 6in inline fan connected to a 6in filter and a couple clip fans to circulate air inside the tent. I am growing with 600w hps ( air cooled ). Veg 18on / 6off Flower 12on / 12off. Other thing is training, You can look up LST, SuperCroping , Topping , Fimming etc.. So far I havent ran into any problems in my grow :) I with you the best of luck in your.

Hi! You have a lot of question! I started growing no long ago myself and had a lot of questions! I picked up some grow books to study, I could not put them down! I would recommend two good books to answer most questions you could have. I personally wanted to find answers in the books. I use this site as a supplement to a good old fashion book!

Hi, I'm on my second grow. First one in Canna Coco. I have been using those nutrients at no more than 4 ml of a + b per gallon (got burned when I went higher). I also use hydroguard, silicon, Cal Mag, and JumpStart at various times in my plants life

In your tent for filters you want carbon filter then fan then ducting outside the tent constantly pushing air out of the tent. This will create negative pressure in your tent so you don't need anything but dust filters on your intakes. If you're using a 4in fan you won't need a controller because you'll be running it flat out all the time at least in flower. A 6 inch fan would be much better suited for a 4 x 4.

StaySticky's advice all seems very similar to my grow.

That 4inch inline fan in a 4x4 may not be strong enough. You need a 6 and then you'll need a air speed adjuster to control the flow. Imo
