Hi

my name is Chris, i am a 49 year old english lady and new to growing but been toking for well many years.

Just about to harvest my first ever crop which i am of course looking forward to.

I hope to learn much from these forums.

Good to meet you all.

Just one question, i am growing in soil and was wondering how long should i flush for before harvesting? I have been flushing with ph water for the past few days, some folk say 10 days others say 7 , any advice please?

Hello Ms. Lady,

Flushing is really up to your discretion... and what you like and what your plant likes. Me personaly, with soil, I water with PH 6.0-7.0 during the entire grow. When the plant reaches its last watering (3-10days before harvest) I water without any nutrients.

I always harvest when the soil is dry (3-10 days after a watering, depending on pot size and temperature).

Hi ya Chris !

I'm a first timer too .....at 60! The forum here IS very informative and has a multitude of answers to our simple questions...... With some of my plants nearing mid grow, I know I have to begin watching closer so I can identify and regulate various things with subsequent efforts. So far my first grow is going great as far as I can tell. MY Lowryder 2 crop is bushy as everyone says..... I also have some 4 White Widow, several medicinal Sativas(?)some bagseed for test purposes.....and some short stuff onyx just busting the soil. Being a medicinal user (MS), my own supply of quality weed is my highest goal.

So far, one of the best things I've learned here is .....LEAVE'EM ALONE !!!!!! in early life..... which I pretty much did...only watered when DRY via meter....started nutes after a month (tested on bagseed)...and my closet has become very busy and healthy looking. Raising bonzai for 20 years has definitely provider patience training.
