I just successfully germinated three seeds in two days. I planted 2 of them in one pot and one seed in another pot. Yesturday I gave them light from 10:30am-2:30pm and from 10pm-12pm. During this I use a spraybottle filled with room-tempreature poland spring water to keep the soil moist. The light I used was a 60 watt lightbulb approxamatly 6 inches from soil. Today, one of the seeds popped up out of the soil and its seed shell fell off while it was under the light. I have a few questions.

- How far away should the light be from the soil?
- Are my plants growing fast? ( It is only a few centimeters tall with 2 tiny leaves bearily separated)
- Am I doing everything correct so far?
- How tall should the plant be before it can survive being planted outside?

If anyone could answer these it would be greatly appreciated!

you said you have a 60 watt bulb, are you talking about incandescent, if so go to walmart and get some Compact Flourescents... incandescent isnt good for growing. you also need to move 1 of the plants that are in the pot together out so the roots dont get tangled up b4 u replant them, also i would keep the light cycle a little better regulated than that, im pretty new also, so other people may have more to add, but those few things for sure. i dont know anything about when they're ok to be outside though

You need a ph kit. That you can get at any home depot or lowes type store. Learn how to test your water and what and why ph is important.
