Thats awsome man, Im from New Zealand and thats why I (and most growers I guess) grow there own. To get away from all the jerks and pricks that you have to involve yourself with.

Hey Barncle Bill, Thats one hell of a nice grow, green and bushy, smoked any of them yet?

I agree Bill, but I did flush just by filling up once and letting it drain out. This was for seedlings, and I am not sure if it was necessary. I just kinda freaked out and did it. I don't think Miracle Grow is the root of all evil, but I can't get my hands on Fox Farm either. Just be sure not to fert for a while. In my noob opinion.

Exactly Kiwiman, I would rather go sober than deal with some of these a-holes. Plus I have never really smoked good herb. I might die if I order seeds and actually bud tham! It's a chance I am willing to take however.

start using nutes after the 1st set of 5 prong leaves are out and only at 1/4 strangth and you'll be fine.. But you look like you have a good set up.. here are some pics of mine

I have a 2 stage system that i can run 30 clones and 10 plants at the same time..

I have something coming out every 30 days...

That is almost exactly what I did thanks to the good folks on here. Also your plants look great, and huge!

Believe it or not that bottom (veg growth) is a walmart set up for like $60. and it works like a charm. I use 2 dixi cups taped together and i cut the bottom cup as the plants bigger. When they to be about 12" ( using the LST system) I put them into flowering. And they only get to about 3 feet tall. the avg yield is about 280 to 320 grams per plant of good danky bud. But its all about the good seeds... better seed better grow.

Wow, that is cool. I only have room for one plant, but that is a great way to go. I would love to post pics of my first LST, I think i did a pretty good job. Kinda scary bending them around though hehe.

UPDATE:

Just pretty much finished installing the carbon filter, all thats left is to add another bracket behind it to keep it pressed against the hole in the wall and to add tape around the joins.

Also drilled the hole for the ballast and moved the lamp hooks around for the 3rd time.

Ive decided to hang the lamp on an angle to give the best coverage due to the limited size of the growroom.

The most difficult part comming up is installing the intake fan, its 150mm and I dont have a drill attachment that large and I can find one anywhere either.

Also inlcuded is a pic of my germinating babys.

Anyone have any opinions on the cotton shroud that covers the carbon filter? Is it worth having it on considering it will stifle air flow?

Thanks...

Looks awsome! - I would leave the Shroud if you want the best results to help block smell - keep it up - looking good! :peace:

By the way - have your seeds cracked? I usually put them in a small cup of distilled water and leave them in a dark warm place - once they crack you know you got a live one! :peace:

for the intake fan - can you attach a reducer ring on it to fit a 4" or 6" air duct - if so - then attach the fan outside with the air duct attached to the box near the bottom to circulate cool air from the bottom to push out the hot air at top where your outtake is at. Just a Thought - let me know what you decide to do. :peace:

Nah, Im a bit nervous bout the seeds as they show no signs of life yet and its been a few days already. So you just leave them floating in water? If these dont start moving I might try that method.

Thats a good idea with the fan placement, I was going to measure the pots in the morning and basically place it slightly above them.

when you put them in the cup - first they float - stir them up gently until they all sink to the bottom then what i do is cover them so the inside of the cup is dark then i put them in my old PC grow box that I have with a 50w HPS light that keeps the temp at about 85 deg farh. after about 1-3 days they will crack and show the tap root - most crack within the 24- 48 hour time period. I stopped using the towel method because the towel woudl dryup and ruin my seeds!! Arggh!!! Good Luck!

I've got a shit load of bagseed so I think i will go do that right now, just incase the paper towel method fails on me again. Ta galo, wish I could offer you some advice for your med grow but you seem more than capable!

UPDATE

Had a hell of a time installing the 15cm intake fan as I didnt have a cutter attachment bigger enough for the hole, so as you can see I drilled a 10cm hole and then went around it with a 2 cm attachment. Then filed it down, damn what a pain....

The bad news it, its loud as fuck, I think even when it has insulated ducting attached to it the noise is still gonna be loud. Might have to downgrade to a quiter fan. Which made this whole exercise pointless.

One thing thats pissing me off is tape, the crap keeps peeling off the surface... not very trust worthy.

Pretty boring photo set I guess but meh....

You look like you are doing great!! for the hole (150 CM) you could have used a jigg saw.. It would have worked just as well.

As far as the fan goes.. do not go smaller.. If you are going to run more then 2 plants.. the will stink to high heaven if you do not get that air filltered and moved out of there.. Also.. hit home depot.. and get some silicone.. and seal everything!!! i mean everything. You want to create a negitive pressure.. that means that the fan will me pulling air from an out sourse... filltering it and then moving it out.. without the possibility of it leaking out.. Trust me.. That silicone, fan and the airfilter will be your new best fiends.. they keep things under wrap..LOL.

It all looks good.. your doing a great job on the post. I love doing projects like this.. I have set up grow rooms for friends... from 200 bucks for a one plant little place.. to 10K units.. where the basement was taken over and they ran 100 plants ( thats a challange....LOL...thank god he lives in the middle of bumfuckednowhere...LOL)

Keep up tha good work.. and ask if you need any help.
