Newbie, first time grower

Hi, im new to the site and also to growing, just want to say hi to all and thankyou in advance for any comments or advice given which will also be greatly appreciated.

I am growing an autoflower for the first time, its 2 week old & its going great but I've recently noticed some yellowing on the odd leaf, im growing in biobizz light mix & was wondering if i need to add calmag & if so at what point would be best??
I will add some pics ASAP.
Thankyou again fir any input:-)

Hi, ive added a couple of pics of my girl, she seems to be growing really well at the mo but I'm a little concerned as to what if anything I need to add as she is in biobizz light mix and then got biobizz grow/ bloom frets. I've read that I need to add calmag but I'm not sure at what point to do this? I'm also a little worried as to the size of her 7.5L pot as today ive noticed one or two roots showing at the drain holes on the bottom.
Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thats a nice plant.
I would not give her any nutes until she shows signs of deficiency.
she looks fine to me

Thankyou, that has made me feel a whole lot better, there are some tiny yellow spots developing some even on the new growth most of which are barely visable but they are there so I am just going to keep my eye on her & see, she'll be ready for a feed in next few days.
Again thankyou, i really do appreciate your feedback. ☺

Hey,

I'm not a soil grower but for two weeks old your plant looks really nice: good colour, nice size and very lush. Keep it up..

Cheers,

Just watch your not spilling your feed water onto the plant and seen as your a new grower keep an eye out for pests like spider mites some pests will cause random odd colours where they bite tiny bits out of the bottom layer of the leaf

but that plant looks healthy a 7L pot is plenty big for a plant that size but depending on how big your going for to finish you might want to double or even 4x the size of that pot in a few weeks see how she go`s

Are you checking the PH of your water and nutrient mix? They look good, you can give it a week after the roots start poking out of the bottom before up-potting. Should be good for nutrients for the first 3-4 weeks with what is in the soil. However, if your ph is way out of wack, you could lock out the cal/mag. Other than checking your PH, I wouldn't do anything different for now, looks very good.

In soil, I usually use a little dolomite lime on the top of the soil to provide the cal/mag, it also acts as a great buffer for PH. It takes awhile to break down, so I add pretty early.

Thankyou for your advice, yes i have been looking for pest, etc, its quite worrying i hate creepy crawlies:-(
Is there anything i can use to prevent this?

Great advice about the pot size, i was thinking of going for 5-7 gallon or somewhere there abouts. But as you say i may wait a while before doing this.

Thankyou for your kind advice i will take it all on board.:-)

All of your advice is greatly appreciated,
I'm using bottled spring water with a ph of 6.3,
I did check my ph after adding 1ml of biogrow/ltr at her 2nd water & it was 7.something so i adjusted it to 6.6 but i didn't check the run off & i now know i probably should have, i shall do this time round & I'll adjust accordingly i am also using biobizz light mix & have read that it has buffers in it,
It confuses me a little, lol, i don't want to do more harm than good:-\

Thankyou for the advice on dolomite lime, i shall get some ordered straight away.
Thankyou all of your tips & advice i do appreciate it :-)

Best way to keep away pests is to keep everything clean, leaving a little extra water in the drip trays can stop things being able to get to the plants but also it can help other things get to them so it`s a catch 22 plus you want to let the water dry away so the humidity drops

Spraying your plants with water helps you don`t need to go adding lots of crap to spray on them, I mean I add regulators and fulvic acid and spray on some grows, I don`t spray some too, the thing is if you spray too much then mr mold may come along

So I find it best to spray between no times a week and 3 times a week depending on what the plants are doing and what the weather and humidity is like

I`ve seen people get mites and spray to keep them away next thing they have bud rot, only smoking one of them will really harm you, the rot so sometimes a few mites aint so bad lol

just keep an eye on the lower leaf`s if you happen to see any small black dots moving, it`s either the bud your on or the bugs are getting it on....... but nah there looking sweet almost anything can happen to a leaf when its tiny that can really make it look strange when it gets big

Thankyou KONASSURE for your great advice, everything is new to me so at the mo im still trying to find the best ways of doing things should my humidity drop or rise at night time? what is optimal humidity % and is it better to feed her at night time or in the day?
I'm really sorry for the daft questions but i have done a lot of research/ reading & found alot of conflicting info, i really want to get this right, it's my first grow & It's pretty scary, all of your great tips & info are massively appreciated, i couldn't ask for better.

Gardening is best done naked, but I'm sure you already knew that. don't forget to garden at least once a day and really get your hands durrty. the more rigorous the hands work the more satisfying the stress relieve is that gardening provides. The experience shouldn't be scary, it should be exciting. who cares if you fuck it up. try again! that's how you learn. There's as much bad info as there is good on the internet, your plants look good, trust your own judgment until it starts to die.
I will say to anyone starting off, pretty sound advice is less is more, and too much of anything will kill a plant quicker than not enough of something so try to work with that mindset.

Thats a great looking plant for 2 weeks carachip.
She must be liking that bio bizz light mix.
I found this link helpfull with feeding.http://www.autoflowering-cannabis.com/autoflowering-cannabis-nutrients.html
I plant autos straight into final 11L pot and no problems.
Use a bigger pot next time you grow an auto, then you wont have to transplant, the less stress an auto gets
the better,as a rule.

What dab says - that's a fine looking specimen. Go easy on the nutes first 2-3 weeks. Remember, all weed needs is light water and fresh air, nutes help it along the whole way. Good growing to you mate!
