Hey everyone, I'm COMPLETELY new to growing as of around 8 weeks ago. I've done lots of reading and research on all the forums and have become somewhat knowledgeable about it all but I do realize theres ALLOT to still learn. Ive finally broke down and made an account so I could ask a question on here that i cant seem to find an answer to. I'll put all the info below.

Seed: Unknown Strain. Bag seed.

Lighting: One 400watt metal halide light with new bulb.

Medium: Earthgro potting soil (no "extended release" plant food) with perlite and peatmoss.

Nutrients on hand: Bone meal, blood meal, 5-1-1 Alaska fish fertilizer, dolomite lime, and epsom salt.

PH: 6.5 reading with $13 home depot meter, not sure how accurate it is.

Last feeding was about 4 days ago from when pics were taken and it consisted of 1 teaspoon of all nutrients besides the bone meal.

She's been in veg for about 8 weeks and this problem started around week 3, she was originally in miracle-gro seed starter mix (I know, I know) when this started happening. I transplanted at the end of week 4 into the plain soil (earthgro) and this problem has kind of "hung on" ever since it started. I thought maybe calcium but I read on a forum that calcium deficiency usually starts at the top of the plant with new leaves and this is starting at the bottom and working up. It seems to start with the brown dots and then the whole "branch/stem" starts yellowing and dying. My nutrients are currently limited to whats above due to tight finances and lack of nurseries and hydro shops near by which leaves me having to order anything needed of the internet or your traditional stores (HD wallmart etc). I'm wanting to try and get this cured before I put her into flowering so any help and suggestions are appreciated! Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, still learning my way around the site. Thanks everyone!

Brown "Dots" is usually Magnesium Deff. and eventually turn the entire leaf yellow, and die. Get some Cal/Mag..will help....but hard to say 100% with no pics.

This may help you out....

Yea that was the reason I ended up with epsom salt, read on a few threads where they had success with it for Mag deff. If your still not seeing pics let me know. I think got them attached on the thread now. Thanks

Epsom salts are okay...but they need to be flushed after using them.. It is DEF Mag def..and the last pic looks like heat stress as well. Cal/Mag is not that expensive...and I believe it would help you out.....Miracle gro = NO!..never had any luck with it. They kinda look like 2 sysmptoms Potassium and Magnesium Def...the leaves canoeing up...are heat stressed.

Ok thanks allot and thanks for the chart. Yeah I know now to stay away from miracle gro, I'm probably going to try the fox farms soil next go around, i wanted to practice with bag seed before i order any seeds and buy more expensive soil and sink some money into the good stuff....as far as heat stress is it normal for the bottom to be affected and the top to look healthy? It pretty much stays around 80-81 at the top growth closest to the light

I'd switch them to flowering and not worry about my fan leaves. I've had multiple grows where the leaves looked funky but it's the bud that counts. Just my opinion, others may tell you this and that. I' 'd also get some liquid ph tester, ( order on line or get some where they sell swimming pool supplies) with some ph up and down. A PH tester from walmart isn't worth a shit in my opinion. A good electronic ph meter will run around $100.00 if you don't want to use the ph tester drops.
