Newb Grow Journal With Questions...

So, about a week ago I started my growing experience off. The seeds were provided to me by a buddy of mine, they are some really good bag seed. I used the paper towel method to sprout my seeds. It produced good results 13 out of 25 sprouted so far. The 13 that sprouted I planted in solo cups tonight. I am planning on keeping them in the cups for about a month. Then I will be transplanting them into larger containers. I am using a mixture of 4 diff. soils combined into one. I am using natural sunlight provided by my skylights in my ceiling. I will be getting nutrients from the store in a few days. About how big/old should the plants be when I start the them on nutrients? I figure I will slowly get them on the nutrients by diluting the first couple feedings. Once on the nutrients should I give the plants nutrients every feeding or every other feeding?

every other feeding is better. you dont want too much salt to accumulate in your soil from feeding.

Yeah, depending on your soil, it could be anywhere from the second or third week to after a month, either way... when you do, start with 1/4 strength.

Ok guys thanks for the advice on the nutrients. Today another 3 seeds sprouted bringing me to a total of 16 out of 25. So far, none have broken through the soil yet. I'm thinking within the next day or so they should start breaking on through. Once they break through I will post up some pictures. I have a question...
These seeds are most likely sativa strains. So like I previously stated I am going to be using natural sunlight. Now my question is about how long should these plants take to grow, bud, and be ready being that I'm using natural sunlight? 12/12 from seed basically. Thanks

ummmmmmmmmmmm did you say youll be using the sunlight from your sunroom? i dont think this is gonna turn out to well without proper lights. spend under 200$ and get a 400w hps or even cfls for under 60$. im pretty sure you wont have sufficient light any other way......

Ok it has been a few weeks now and I have had great success so far. 10 out of the 16 plants survived. 7 out of the 10 are guaranteed females. They all showed their sex this week. Now since I know which are females I am putting them back into vegging under cfl's for a few more weeks... I just transplanted them all into 5 gallon buckets. I have now also been using molasses with every feeding with great success. I have a question...
Since I am putting them back into the vegging state, Can I now top them so each plant will have two colas instead of one? I want to make sure doing this will not cause harm to my lil girls. And to all you doubters never under estimate the power of TRUE sunlight. I guess it can be done with good results....Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer this question.
