newb-fertalize or no? need help soon!

hello, i have 3 plants right now that have all used (the brand) "all american potting soil" (-contains- 45-55% aged pine bark, topsoil, sand, and perlite). first of all is this okay soil? my plants are almost a foot tall and all seem really healthy. i am about to switch to a 12/12 light schedule. should i fertilize? i don't have a lot of spare cash so i did some searching and found sphagnum peat moss (miracle grow) and a bag of perlite. would sprinkling a tad of either one help at all? none of my leaves are turning yellow and the plants seem to be doing good. this is my first time and i'm not sure what to feed my ladys during flowering or if i should at all.

sounds like the soil your using will carry them until you switch to 12/12... when you switch i recommend a little soluble phosphorus... this helps them transition and helps with flower set.

starting about 3-4 weeks into flower feed potassium. i use soluble phos and potas, it is inexpensive and available in low quantities.

this is about as simple as its gonna get.

Hey man, perlite doesn't have any nutrient value it's for soil aeration and drainage! Peat moss I think is just another growing medium, not sure if it has any nutrient value.
Honestly just keep an eye on your plant, if it needs ferts, it will tell you.
Flowering plants like less nitrogen than vegetating plants and maybe a little more phosphorus and potassium
If you can, pick up a bottle of bloom nutes like dyna gro foliage pro, it comes in 8oz or 32oz bottles. pretty sure you can get an 8oz delivered to from ebay for like $20 and you can use that for veg and flower and not worry about anything.
You have healthy 1foot plants, dont fuck them up after coming so far!
Potting mix is designed to give your plants nutes for a set amount of time, then you have to start gauging for yourself what the plants needs
The grow and bloom all in one nutes are pretty good for taking care of most things, but you will still have to pay close attention to your babies

The soil your using will be fine you just need some sort of bloom fertilizer at this point. If you can afford about 20 dollars you can get some good bloom ferts theres tons to choose I find foxfarms products to be pretty good and they are fairly cheap where I live dont know about you though. I suggest checking out a local hardware store and see if they got good bloom nutes good luck..

You can also make your own organic tea it mite be cheaper you can look it up on how to make your own online.
