Well I’ve been running fem photos In100% perlite hempy for about 6 years now and have decided to try an auto in soil. Strain is GSC Breeder is New420guy tent is 18”x18”x48” Light is Mars Hydro TS1000 soil is FFOF mixed with 20% perlite (which I’ve heard is too hot for seedlings after the fact‍). So that’s the rundown. Come take a ride and see how she turns out!

Nice man! I'm currently working on a True Purple Haze auto from New420guyseeds, this is my first run w autos and I'm having a wee bit of trouble w it. I believe it was because I have never monitored pH, grown plenty of photos and never had this issue but just gave her a flush and will probably do a light feed next watering. My tap water pH was 8.4 :wall:

Good day fellow growers and growets! Wasn’t gonna post until there was some activity but I’m really impressed!!! I don’t know if it’s the strain or the soil but the last pic from Monday until today is not what I expected. I mean this is my first soil grow and I guess I thought it would be a little slower than my usual hempy bucket. Happy to say the least. 9 days from sprout and still only feeding ph’d water with calmag. Haven’t checked temps or humidity but the room stays at 70f so not really worried there.

Welp today marks the official 14day mark since she popped. Did a little lst, top, and some defoliation. At this point I’m gonna just lst and hope for the best!! Still only ph bottled water with 2ml of calmag. Oh yeah I put my camera in there to try to get some video.

Been waiting for some action to post so here it is. I went ahead with some more defoliation and tired her down some more, even though I said I wouldn’t. She has responded very well so far. Yesterday was the 21st day and still only feeding ph’ed water with calmag. I’m seeing a little burn on the tips but nothing serious so no nutes until she tells me. Hope this helps someone!924300F2-A09F-44D1-8341-E71B605D5EF1.png

Day 33 and we’re chugging along! I’ve started to top dress with happy frog all purpose fruit and flower with ph’d water and calmag. She’s getting there. Excuse the mess in the bottom corner. She also got a haircut 3481236A-9E5B-4E0C-AD50-9535EDC817F1.jpeg

Sorry for the hiatus but I had a family emergency and had to leave abruptly. Needless to say I had to leave my grow in a very inexperienced persons hands and let me tell you 6E8DD66A-0996-437F-B18E-B7BD4E750D6A.jpegDEBC3088-14F5-4735-9AF5-B915CEF3D98D.jpeg0B346A05-8016-4A7A-9581-9C89D38E0DFA.jpeg0DB65DAD-8989-452B-B7CF-8AF41FCAA6EC.jpegit did not go well. From the looks of it there was too much nutes and water was not ph’d. This is what I’m left with. I’m almost 2 months in and she’s flowering. I corrected ph and flushed her really good. Should I let her run or just start over?

Aw man that’s a sorry sight. Done the right thing to flush and feed her.

I’d it were me I’d defoliate most of it and start again while finishing that one up. Might yield something but I wouldn’t get my hopes up.

I dont think this was a prob that just morphed while you were gone tho. If you look at the last pic before these, you can see the prob had already begun. By the looks of it, it prob started about a week before that. if you haven't been using nutes besides cal mag with top dress it wouldn't be overfeeding. It looks like late stage nitrogen deficiency. That or cal mag.Or Both. Those are my guesses.

The only reason I say that is because he gave her a half a cup of top dress in a 3 gallon with double the calmag. I didn’t think of that because this is FFOF soil and from my understanding it has enough nutes for at least 3 to 4 weeks. I may be wrong though

I've had some plants recently that had excess nitrogen and some that had deficiencies while using the same FFOF soil. Some strains need more than others. My prob looked just like this by the way. I looked up mine on a leaf prob chart and it most resembles too little N. I would try adding some but dont go too high on the PPM. Try not to do too many things at once. Watch the new growth cause the other leaves wont go back to normal.

Thanks for the help I’ll look into getting some this weekend. Question though since I’m in flower I should need much right? I think the next run I’m going back to what I know... hempy lol. It’s like growing for dummies lmao
