New Users Can't Sign Up?

I've got two friends I referred to this site, and they've been trying to create user accounts for over a week. They get this error message from an email marketing software that reads:

An Error Occurred

Sorry, the account "rollitup" exists in our records but is currently not active. Please push the "back" button on your web browser and notify the website owner of this message.

The above notice indicates that new user is already registered at RIU. Better check your account name or probably change it into a new one to generate new RIU account.
 
It would seem highly unlikely to me that 2 people using different usernames would encounter the same problem. Also, unless Durrp2bhfgy is already a username, I think you might be wrong.. Cuz I just tried to create a new account from a different computer at a different location and got the same error message. I'd think you'd get an error message saying that username is already taken if that were the case. I'm just saying.
