New TV

Well I'm a cheap old fart who hates mindless consumerism. Having said that I went out and dropped a grand on a TV today. Samsung 46" LCD 120Hz with 5 yr extended warranty. We were looking at the new LED and Plasma models but decided to go LCD even though the price of Plasma was about 30-40% cheaper than the LCD's. The LED TV's are about 20% more than comparable LCD's
Gotta give a plug to Sears for the purchase. We searched Future Shop,Best Buy, Wally Mart, Brick, Local Stereo Shop, online.... Sears had the best price 3 blocks from my house.
I Have been resisting this purchase since the bloody things came out LOL my wife is so proud of me I may get some oral out of it:mrgreen:

Must say I'm pretty impressed so far. Have it hooked to an Onkyo amp with a full set of Paradigm surround speakers. Watching HEAT with Al Pacino and Robert Denero right now. So far we have watched the A-Team, Sherlock Holmes, Despicable me which was absolutely perfect picture quality.
Some real nice bud in my pipe makes it all even better....bongsmilie

Enjoy the new television :) I got myself a 32'' flat screen for my bed room. All i need to now is hook up HDMI for my bluray player (which i have yet to purchase)

Well i think you got a good deal as i heard alot of advantages and disadvantages with the led, plasma and lcd and it seems that lcd would be the best bet.I did this research about a year ago on black friday.

You always got to love new toys....and it's always better with a blow job. I got one of each, not BJ's TV's, LMAO Plasma for the dark room and lcd for the bright room, I do like my 55" Plasma, helps heat the room too. I'm not kidding it troughs a bit of heat. Now all you have to do is get a cell phone. LOL

LOL yeah I actually have a cell phone......But just to show you how cheap I am I have never paid for my own cell phone and I have been carrying one since about 98...i make my employers pay for them and since I have been self employed my wife pays for it......And I won't let her pay for one she has to get it for free or I won't use it LOL.

I love my 32" samsung.I got it for 500 off amazon refurbished. It is brand new except for a couple scratches.I like how it has these touch sensitive buttons that dont stick out to.

Im thinking about selling it and grabbing this 42" sharp led tv from this pawnshop for 600.

Dude stay out of the pawn shops for electronics.....they are only good for jewelery and even then its hit and miss....Trust me I have a buddy who owns a pawn shop. For $600 you can bring home a brand new 42" plasma.
