Get a few from your friends who a lot or ask them to save em for ya. Practice with a few unknowns until you understand a good amount. You may get lucky and get a female 
Thats the way i started and i made a lot of noob mistakes but it didn't cost me anything. Only buy seeds when you're absolutely ready so you don't waste them. Best of luck!

Amen to that. It seems like I see 100's of dollars in seeds every other day that get ruined because its a first time grow. Grow out some seeds you can find locally and once you have a harvest, hit the seedbanks. Unless you do a ton of reading and research and can sift through misinformation, or have grown other things similar successfully, your first grow will be hit and miss. Good luck to you.
