umm, the only thing i can tell you is start reading, researching and then ask questions, its difficult to walk someone through indoor growing, its a little harder since your environment has to be dialed for max growth, i mean, outdoors you have all that sun and fresh air, indoors is a whole new ball game. wish i could help more, but i learned on my own with minimalistic help. If you are handy, have some time and a little cash, you can figure it out, i promise.

Welcome to the underground :hump:

Read, read, and read again. That jorge cerventes series is a good set to get. I know alot of ppl dont like him, but there is a ton of good information he passes along.

first grow i would go with a small grow tent, 3x3. 400w hps/mh ballast (and both bulbs)
start with soil, hydro can be tricky for a newb, nutes very but ask around, i use botanicare.
ventilation is key, and get a hood that can be connected with ducting to a inline fan.
vent exhaust air out of the growroom and out of your house if possible.
venting into the attic is a no no, you can cause mold and that is uber expensive to remove.
temps are harder to control as well, so ventilation is key.

here is my setup.

i use foxfarm ocean forest, its gives the plants a healthy jump start, but after a few weeks they are in need of nitrogen, so i start my nute regimen after 2-3 weeks of growth.

Any good potting soil will do, just stay away from anything that sais miracle grow. You would need experience to use miracle grow since its pretty hot with nutes and its hard to control the release.
