Hey guys just have a few questions. I took a bookshelf and put it in the closet. I wired 4 65w cfls in a horisontal line. I ueed a winshield wiper as a brace lol. Kinda ghetto but thought is there. Big question is my seeds. They are about 2 weeks old and look ok. We had minimal stretchingbut worked it out. See i can not conform the source of the seed was givin to from friend. I guess wat im getting at is wat if these are some regular seeds and im growing a crappy strain can i still come out okcif their femaleand some tlc? Thanks for all input and advice
 
yes. even crappy seeds from a bag of shitty weed can turn out great if properly cared for.

it's never a guarantee, though. if you look around the site you can find all sorts of bagseed grows that turn out great. i've grown several myself and more than half the time i'm very satisfied.
 
2012-02-01_11-09-58_619.jpg this is my random bag seed thats currently harvesting right now ^_^ so yes you can get good results from a bag seed just gotta take good care of it
 
yeah my avatar is bagseed..turned out great..like totalhead said..you can grow great plants from bagseed.
 
i use 4 cfls to start one plant. so depending how many plants you have.. those lights will work for veg but youre either gonna want a stronger light or a lot more cfls.
 
You'll need more light, but remember that most crap weed was only poorly grown or packaged. Good luck!
 
I have 4 plants right now. They are in solo cups. About to build a bigger cabinet in a couple weeks and report the babies. At that point im going with 4 100w cfls. I think that would be enough
 
Ok I will start looking into more lighting tomm. Any recommendations on a combo I can use because I know its going to have to be a cfl setup???
 
i have had a few under 1 125w cfl, they need to be realy close to the plants, go with a 250w hps or as u wana use 400w go with a 400w hps, there better and dont need to fuk about with moving lights around
 
I have them maybe 4' away from the lights plan on getting bigger bulbs maybe add 2 more also lining the box with some kind of reflective material. Also liquid karma in about a week or so.
 
what i did when i was growing cfls is i built a setup per seemorebuds' book, and got like 10 y splitters and i just ran a shitload of 26-27 w cfls.

I'm vegging 10 small plants under 2-26 & 2-23 Watt cfl. You'll definitely need more for flower
 
Thanks for all the input. Im going to to home depot plan on getting a lock for closet and more lighting. I am defiantly getting the "growing bug" I enjoy the daily maintenance and creativity. The thought of enjoying ur own product is amazing. I currently cannot enjoy gods greatest gift but I defiantly will break that rule if I have a good harvest. Which I am looking toward to.
 
Word of caution, since texas is like china when it comes to drug laws, maybe create a new user name? I just wish everyone to be safe in their adventures, and wouldnt want your name biting you in the ass somehow. You only have 8 posts so, a new RIU user account wouldnt be too bad. Just saying, other than that, good to hear man. It is always so fun heading out to the store for some DIY shit. Always fun. Finished up a veg cab last week that I am really digging.
 
I see what your saying. But heading to home depot to grab a couple splitters and bulbs. I had an idea to use a haul box and I was searching a thread and I see the exact setup I guess great minds think alike
