ok guys im new to the hydro systems tryin to get set up just have some questions on what i should get. the lighting i have squared away. i plan on using a 6 bucket system. what im inquiring about is the size pump i would need for the reservoir. i have no idea on what size i would need. and any nutrient solution mixture that would be a good recommendation would help a lot also. i have grown b4 just in soil wanting to give hydroponics ago and see how i like it the first batch will probably be from seed unless i can get clones from somewhere any help would be great thanx in advance

Its a drip system nothin to fancy right yet I just was tryin to figurw out what size pump would be good for this system. I know there is alot on here to help. Ive had 4 sucessful grows from reading on here

off hand i'd say a 300gph minimum depending on just what your doing. Your post is kinda vague. 6 buckets? recirculating or not? how far away the buckets from the rez if not recirculating. How big buckets? What's the wattage your lights will be so we can figure out the size of this grow. you could be growing 6 plants in 6, 3 inch pots. if it's a big grow get a big pump you can always turn down the flow on it.

if you need to ask, you have lots more reading to do, just telling it like it is.

Yeah I am going to have to agree here with WG there is much to learn and there is everything you need to know right here you just have to read A LOT and find what is going to work best for you. My advice would be to keep it really really simple and easy to run no 5 part nute or fancy grow techniques simple and easy first time out. When you have your grow figured out and how you want to do it would be the time to bring all your questions and the community will be more than happy to help you out. Good luck and look forward to seeing your grow.

Sounds like you are planning on a recirculating system so I recommend you get a ph pen. As far as the nutes that you choose go for something major like General hydroponics because then if you run into any problems you know there are thousands of people who can answer your questions later if you need help.

Like you said? You are asking a question in this thread not making a statement. If you bothered to read the answers that people took time to post you would see that somebody already gave you a suggestion on a pump. But since you haven't told people shit about your plans other than "bucket + drip" you can't really expect much help and I'm certainly not going to give you any more.

I apologize if I missed something no need to be rude I am new to this so yea sorry didnt give a whole lot of info. i was just in a hurry
