Well, I am a smoker, I love pot, so I decided to try and grow couple of plants.
I am on week #4 and things are ok, although the stem is very tiny and the leaves are getting big and starting to sag. Why??? Not enough water, too much water, not enough food, I don't know, but I really don't want them to die.
Help??????

Welcome to RIU :hump:

Use a small fan to blow on and strengthen the stem. Saggy or droopy leaves are a sign of over or under watering. From the sounds of it I would say you are watering it too much. You should only be watering every 4 days or so.

If you have long thin stems you have stretching and that means you need to lower your lights and or add more lighting. If they are very stretched you can replant the plants deeper leaving only about one quarter of an inch above the soil. The stems that are then under the soil will push out new roots so the root-mass will grow larger and stronger faster and then with lowering your lights and or adding more light the plants will not stretch again while growing ... but either way a fan is a good idea. It somewhat duplicates natural wind, though more constant than natural wind, and the movement of plant stems and bush and tree trunks is what causes them to grow thicker and stronger.

So another question, is there a way to clone my plants at their age??? If so, how???? I got two plants and they are about four weeks old, I would like to see if I can multiply them a little, to try and insure hopefull survival of at least one :)

So how much light does two plants need??? I have two four feet long fluorescent lights that are about 32W each. How many hours a day should they be on, I am on week #5

hah this is actually funny cuz i was in his shoes 2 months ago, and then i found this site... :-D for one, Check out the CFL growing page next tab up... thats going to be your best friend. I also went to home depot to pick up two 4 ft fluros. trust me when i say its just a bitch to hang and setup and move them every day..The light those 4 ft fluros put off=NOT worth that much stoner energy...Head to walmart,(or Lowes,OR ANY store that usually sells lights) and pick your self up a couple of 23/24 w 65k DAYLIGHT CFLS to start a (once again*CANNOT STRESS MORE* to see this thread https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/107992-tutorial-growing-cfls.html from Dr. Chronic, read the part bout Color Temperature and Colors.)and get a couple of clip on lamp sockets.(1 socket for each CFL..) depending on how many you want to grow you could toss those aluminum reflectors away and get an extender and a splitter
to put 2 cfls per socket. That should handle them long enough until you browse around and learn enough to grow amazing plants, trust me im doing it now! :):weed::hump::blsmoke:

Sorry if i rambled too long but im pretty stoned and i feel like lending a hand. lol

GOODLUCK!
