Basically just keeping the plant healthy. Hydroponics grows faster than soil plants. Enriching the co2 level in the room speeds up growth. And a good light helps too. Staying at a good temperature (70-85*f) helps keep things growing fast.

with co2 DIY setup, any idea how much co2 it gives off and will it speed up the growing process by a great deal?

Growing takes patience....if you are already wanting to speed things up, you may not have any.....
