Hi everyone,
I'm from milwaukee wi, I'm new to growing. I always wanted to grow but due to life and Finances it was never the right time.
Well my daughter turned 18 and moved out, so it was just me and my pitty Memphis. I also had lost my job due to BS..that triggered my depression and PTSD..after paying my bills I took the last of my money and bought some lights, seeds , Is nutrients, dirt and had some hope because I needed it. I couldn't afford to buy from friends anymore and smoking helped with my mental health and me going to sleep. Plus my Appetite.
So I Germinated one . It Sprouted and I planted her. A week late I did the same and then another week later I did it again. I bought a 3 pack from Humbolt seed company for 60$. 2 out of 3 made it, the 3rd one grew real weird almost sideways into the dirt. Real odd..
I'd love some feed back from everyone on how these girls are looking. They are train wreck.
Thank you in advance for taking the time out and giving me your feed back..
Also any tips or options on my grow spot..its my daughter's closet

Thank you for replying, like I said I'm new to this, plus I tend to stick to myself and my pitty Memphis. So not many at all know that I have this hobby. Expect for my daughter, she thinks it's cool AF lol..but I can't get Advice from her. So I made it this far with reading Forums, watching videos, and honestly listening to the plants if that makes sense. I'll sit and watch and study them and I go off how they are Reacting to the nutrients, Environment ect..I thought I ordered auto train wreck, but the package didn't say auto , it said Feminized. I'm ok with that to be honest. But I've had them on 20hrs on 4hrs off..and I'm I correct that they are going into pre flower? If so then they might be auto after all..idk
40×25×70 is the closest size..
And yes I have Decent air exchange. Actually also the space stays at a perfect 71-78 Degrees. Humidity is between 43-51%
Thank you for replying, doing this hobby means alot to me and helps me personally in alot of ways mentally.

I thought I ordered auto, but after seeing a video from them and one of their other strains it said Auto on that package, when I checked mine it only said femonized. But like I said it looks like she's going into pre flower and I haven't changed the light schedule I'm still at 20 on 4 off

If they are photos, you will need to find a way to get it as dark as possible in there for flowering. Looks like you have a blanket over a doorway - won’t do for flowering photos!
How's it going..that's my daughter's room, she turned 18 and moved out with her friend. So I used her closet..when I turn the lights off for 4hrs..the room is Pitch black and I close the doors .the Blank is incase someone comes by. I thought it was a good idea at the moment lol

I dont know a whole lot about autos, but in my opinion, its a bit easier for a new grower to start with photos. With photoperiod you have time to correct definciencies, mistakes, ect.. You just delay the veg time till its corrected. With autos, they're gonna flower when they want, you cant stop it so theres little room for error, you're along for the ride ready or not..

You say you "listen to your plants". Thats one of the smartest things you can do. Too many people just do what they read online, follow exact time schedules, buy the latest and greatest nutes and wonder why their shit isnt working. You're on the right track with your thinking! Hang out here at RIU, lots of smart growers here willing to help, a lot smarter then my dumb ass lol..

Oh and shout out to Memphis from my boy!

Thank you so much for the reply and being nice..i checked a few sites out and they are rude or act almighty, that kinda turned me off from forums. That's also how I ended up just following how I see the plants react.
I really truly enjoy growing, mostly to watch them grow they are truly beautiful and amazing. I have train wreck now and she's amazing. Can't wait to do other strains. Between the plants and Memphis it truly saved me and helps with my depression. I'm blessed to find this site..I started following u on here if that's ok .taking Memphis for a walk now. It's 38-42 degrees in Milwaukee with rain..smh..have an amazing thanksgiving

Welcome to Rollitup and to the hobby. Caring for plants gives me such a calm at ease feeling, I don't know I could live without them. I am glad you found the cultivation bug and got into it. It truly is life changing.

You plants look great nice job! You are much better off with photoperiod plants. Autos can be tricky to grow and get to yield. You also have to know which ones are actually potent, in my experience that is a tough task. You will enjoy a much easier grow, way better yield and far superior potency with photoperiod plants.

Now put those lights on a timer and set it to 12 hours on and 12 hours off. You will see the flower sites begin to bloom in 10-14 days.

Also if you like tomato or peppers you can grow those indoor as well and that gets addicting lol.

Best of luck with your new hobby and hope to see you around the boards !

Thank you so much. And this is an amazing site and forum. Wish I would have found you guys sooner.
Yes growing changed my life for the best. Part of me is scared to change the lights to 12/12. Just because it means there will become a time that I will have to say goodbye to them. Even tho I tell my lady's when that moment comes they will still help me and others just in a different way. But the other part of me wants to change the lights so I can see what amazing buds they will Produce. I know my pics don't show alot but is there a to soon time. She's about 3ft tall.
Is there a time window for veg stage like being in veg to long or not long enough? She sprouted Sept 28th. I've trimmed her 2 times already. When I topped her my stomach dropped I was so nervous I'd ruin her..lol..when I first wanted to grow it was about getting buds to smoke..now it'd so much more, I watched videos, read Articles and forums. There's so many tips and different ways . Reading how individuals get stuck on one way. Or Expensive equipment or nutrients. I didn't have much money at the moment so I followed my gut and it's odd to say but got in tuned with them and that's what I been doing. I just don't want to jump the gun and do something that will hurt them. But also feels like a kid on Christmas with the Excitement i'm watching the next step with them and watching the buds grow. And thank you for the info on Autos..ill stick to only female seeds (Photos) is what they are called right..sorry I'm new to some words. I look forward to sitting with my coffee and pitty Memphis next to me in the room as I take care of them and see how they grew..I play this music I found on youtube..I swear they move when it plays..its sounds of birds and outside Nature.

Start more seeds so by the time you're ready to chop, you'll have more ready to start flowering. Grow constantly and you never really have to say goodbye. I don't do a very long veg, typically 4-6 weeks. Looks like she has plenty of tops, so I'd feel just fine about flipping your plant now. If you let it go too long, you have to start worrying about vertical space when she's done stretching.

Thank you so much..that was my plan was to get some more seeds going . I was checking out a site called fastbuds. Their prices ain't bad..only thing is Financially times have been very hard on me..I start a new job in the beginning of December, but I have to catch up on rent and bills..but hey it is what it is right..by the time she Flowers and all that I might at that time buy a few seeds...can you Recommend a good site to get them from that's reliable and safe. I've come across some were comments talk about getting ripped off..I'm not to the point where I can buy 10 seeds or more and take that risk of possibly something not Sprouting. I went through Humbolt seed company this last time..I bought a 3 pack for 60$ 2 out of 3 made it..but 60$..fastbuds has a deal now buy 2 get 1 free..so I could get 9 seeds for 90$ but I fear getting ripped off..that's how I came across this site..I was doing some research and looking at different strains to grow next..window shopping lol..
Right she's on 20/4 light..will going to 12/12 hurt her or shock her? Should I do 18/6 for a few weeks or can I take the plunge lol and do 12/12..I am excited to see the buds grow..thank you again
