your right about on schedule for that area, have property out by the y past showlow and my pops and mom would grow out there with some friends. my only question is why the autos outside? the window for outside growing up there for monster plants is going to be longer then your autos, so I would at least do a mix .... I have some green poison that would do great up there...

A barbed wire fence, a shotgun and oh wait if your gonna top a plant wait till the 2 new colas are 1cm+
Hey Joeykamma- thanks. i got a 6 foot block wall. why would i top a plant? it will encourage more branches? i am a complete novice to growing weed. I did start reading newbie files. i will refer to them if best. there was a broken link...

Looters are def a concern so dont advertise. I said that so u can keep em short or that was the most useful thing ive learned this week.
You seem reasonably far south. I have to get real picky here where i live. Make sure they can handle your climate if it rains alot etc. Handle autumn
Maybe a plant finishing in september.

Prepare a nice wide, deep bed for them, make sure the soil has plenty of humus and the right amendments, and give it a thick layer of straw mulch in a wide circle around the plant-you should do fine esp with walls. Def mix it up and try some photos next time-I really like Serious 6 for outdoors, it's a short flowering sativa. Keep up a strict IPM schedule, spray with neem/silica and a biofungicide like Southern Ag Garden Friendly Fungicide, and search for nearby gopher holes and kill them-those small creatures can chop a 12 ft tall sativa down overnight. Good luck!

thanks i love your confidence that i would be able to get photos uploaded... i will try. so the girls were in sun and shade today, didn't get too warm. but they were in full sun too. nice condensation in bag. i've taken cover off glad container, and they are in gallon bag, with container base.
so many feral cats here no vermin...i just saw my own first house lizard last week. - thanks for the IPM thing - a break down of what ipm is short for would be helpful...i did a search in forums...

I'M growing outside in containers, no ground digging in Arizona, too much caliche. and a container is much better for watering control. and soil amendments easier

okay, i fucked up my back and haven't been able to move the gals around into shady places but,,, i'm hoping it not too late for them... i will still bring in tonight supposed to be 48F still too cold, we will be warm over night soon enough. we had a perfect week a couple weeks ago sleep with windows open...then winter came back. SO the GIRLS, look weak, i plan to not water but do keep in the zip lock over night for moisture. tomorrow when outside no bag. no water.

If you usually can grow anything, weed will be a piece of cake. Don't overfertilize, don't overwater and you'll be fine.

When @Rurumo said, "try some photos next time.", I think the intent was, "try some photoperiod plants." Rereading your original post, it sounds like the only autoflowers are the NL auto. You should be good to go.

Have fun and welcome to RIU.

Thank you. Time to google photoperiod plants.

Looked up photoperiod and for a little reading they do better when sunlight is getting shorter. Something in would try growing if my sunlight was waining. Not heading into summer.

i put the other 8 seeds into water to soak, will put into pete pot when tail shows. not gonna germinate in the pot. out of the 6 started i have two with first leaf. but they are looking weak.

Fellow cochise grower here. Maybe I can help. Lots of photoperiod stuff around. The wind during monsoon and the UV during the middle of the day u need to prepare for. And as mentioned LST so they stay low to avoid neighbors. Great to find locals here finally making AZ green

getting from pretty seedling with tap root to teenager plant with happy roots is becoming my most evident hurdle in this endevour.

the coir pots have no nutrition, so i took my newly sprouted seeds, 2nd try. into potting soil worm casting blend with coir. original plant one it holding on and the other #3 looks sad... this is hard

i was looking at amazon a small grow tent it maybe the best way to get plants off to a good start. being retired, money is tight, but i really want to grow so i can make my own edibles.

Weather might b ok from now on outside. I would still bring them in at night. I agree they are super finicky preteen. Just keep them warm at night if u can. Find one good spot in your yard and keep there. A little sun screen wouldn't hurt either. Make the screen shade the plants from 10 - 2. Hopefully this will keep u from cooking them. Gonna b 90 this week. Good luck and post sum more pics
