I'm just saying you're doing good there. No reason to change up.
One thing I'd suggest, and the easiest way I see of doing it is taking a pretty big FLAT piece of cardboard That's twice as many inches wider than it is hung above the light.(so one inch between the top of the lights, and where the cardboard will hang; give two inches overhang on each side).
Then slice a slit into the cardboard from edge to center so you can slide it onto the cord they're hanging off of & center it. Once you get that positioned nicely, take it off, and cover it with aluminum foil, shiny-side out(I'd suggest regular glue, but tape works). Leave that slit!
Then replace it and put some (duct) tape on the slit(the cardboard side, not aluminum) to and around the cord to keep it on the cord.
It won't be the prettiest, but aluminum is a great reflector, and lights are probably nearly 1.8-1.9x as effective using it within an inch or so. And will stop you from losing half your light to the 'air'.
