New to Aerogarden

damn that sucs, i have no clue, you should stop by home grown hairys thread, he cn probably help you out :(

My only lowryer left is not doing to good. From my last post parts of the plant were turning dark green which is good. However hours later I saw it turning yellowish again and looked like its drying up. I see from the bottom part of the main stem looks like its drying up and damaged. So I checked the pH and it was fine, about 6. I looked at the roots and it looked very dark then usual. I flushed the res, when flushing I noticed the airstone had formed some yellowing scale on it as well. I cut the air pipe which goes from the pump to the res, and used a new airstone. When I was placing the top of the res, I noticed when the roots made contact with the water it caused some type of brown mist spreading into the water. It seemed like dirty roots. So I looked at some pcis of rotted roots. It was dark like mine. So I flushed the res again. Used some rubbing alcohol to flush out the res.

Here are the steps I took for disenifecting the roots.

1. Filled up a glass with hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, and hot water.
2. Filled up another glass with hot water.
3. Dipped the roots into the glass which has hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol. Then dipped the water into the glass which had only hot water. I repeated these steps a few times.

Note: I saw bunch of bubbles forming on the roots.

4. Measure the pH level of the water in the res, this is after the flush. Then place the plant back onto the res.

As of right now the leaves are drooping and seem to be turning yellow. Also I see a bunch of bud sites on the plant where it has white hairs. However there are a bunch of leaves around it that are drying up. Can I cut the dried up leave which are still connected to the lowryder? Any suggestions?

Dude, I think you may have just put the nail in the coffin by dipping your roots in rubbing alcohol, that stuff is lethal to plants! Hate to be the bearer of bad news man, but rubbing alcohol is often used as a home remedy weed killer!

Im new to this site and just wanna say thank you to all of you guys, reading about how much you all help eachother out really makes me feel confident enough to grow my own plants. Ill have questions when everything is set up. Thanks agains and sorry about the dying children H2O

Thanks SICC, the other ones seem to be doing really great. It seems anything I transfer from the ag to soil does awesome. My male lowryder is still growing healthy.
Lookin great man, those are the ones transferred in the soil right?
Yup...lol those are the only ones that survived. Just dont understand why it survives in soil and not the AG.

Damn the pot which has two plants growing, one turned out to be a hermie. There are buds growing all over it, however some places have the male seed pockets. I took the pot away and placed it to another room becaue I dont want it to affect my other plant which all female. Any suggestions?
you can let it bud, but it will be full of seeds
If I put it back next to the female plant it will affect it right?

Yea it would pollinate it, how did you separate the two plants? i thought the hermie was in the same pot as another one

nah I meant the other pot which has a female in it. Seperate it from the other pot. I have a bunch of yellow spots on my leaves. Which Fox Farm nute can I use to resolve the problem?

Those are horrible pics of your plant. If you ever want to be a flooring claims inspector though, you've got the right stuff. The tile came out crystal clear. LOL!
