New TMV album came out today, anyone listen to it or are into the mars volta? I am currently listening to it and it is pretty nutty. They are one of my favourite bands and I am pissed they cancelled their show 2 weeks ago!!:evil: For sure one of the best live acts you will see around. I do not have too many thoughts on the album yet as I am listening to it for the first time right now, except that it sounds pretty good, very very crazy shit going on. Let me know if you have any thoughts on the album! The Mars Volta kick ass! :blsmoke:

First, and please understand that i also love TMV so i aint rippng them but, man they definitely aint one of the best live acts around. Cedric's live vocals are sketchy at best and downright awful at some points. They are improving though, they used to be fucking shit live!

That said the new album is awesome. I was really disappointed with Amputechure so i was very pleasantly surprised with the new album. IMO it's their best work since Frances the Mute. So much more raging and intense than the last album. They're still ripping off King Crimson something awful though!!

TMV do indeed kick ass! :blsmoke:

yea i wonder about his vocals. i have only seen them once and they were awesome, but they cancelled their show a few weeks ago because he lost his voice which leads me to believe he shouldn't try to bust out notes so damn high, but yea amputechture wasn't their best effort, the new album makes up for it definitely.

If anyone was wondering, this album is pretty kick ass. I recommend for anyone to listen to The Mars Volta and then destroy MTV.
