New Setup...Humidity Problem (high)...

Hey Everyone,

I have a new setup and am having some humidity issues. I can't seem to get the humidity down in my flower room. Here is the setup...

Room Info
Room Size - 6'x14' Divided into one 6'x8' flower room and one 6'x6' veg room (Plastic divider)
Room Location - Basement corner
Intake Air - Drawn through the wall to a 10'x14' room that usually has the door closed. Using a 300cfm fan.
Exhaust - Through a carbon filter into a wall box out a partially cracked window (no backpressure at all). Using a 450cfm inline fan.

Flower Room
Room Size - 6'x8'
Light - 1000HPS
Circulation - Osculating Pedestal Fan
Humidity - 70-75% (This is the problem)
Temp - 70 degrees when lights are off, 80 degrees when lights are on. I have a cool tube just haven't installed it yet to try and lower the temp a bit.
Notes - Both intake and exhaust are in this room. Running a dehumidifier (17 Liter). Currently 21 large plants in flower.

Veg Room
Room Size - 6'x6'
Light - 400HPS and 4'T8 double bulb)
Circulation - Osculating Wall Mount Fan
Humidity - 65-70%
Notes - Intake is just a vent from one room to the other no intake fan. This room works perfectly so far. Currently 24 in veg.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how to lower my humidity in this room?

No Body has an idea? I know that the humidity is too high for flower...what does everyone else do to lower the humidity?

I have a dehumidifier in the room already...what about a stronger exhaust fan...will evacuating the air faster help lower the humidity?

This is a tricky situation. I think a better (higher volume) dehumidifier is the answer. The problem with high volume dehumidifiers is that they create heat. Exhausting more air may help some. Once the humidity gets around 70-80% the carbon filters stop working and become less efficient so it is a balancing act. Getting the temps lower by installing the cool tube may be your best fix. You will be amazed at the difference 5F can make in the humidity levels.

One thing I see with your setup is you are venting your veg heat and humidity into your flower tent.

This may be contributing to your problem. Maybe you can exhaust the warm humid veg area air to the outside rather than your flower room?
