New seeds (Blackberry)

I'm germinating my new seeds. Out of ten, five of them have sprouted. At what point should I place them in a growth medium? Also, when should I place them under a light. The seed company recommended no light for two weeks. Thanks!

Depends on the medium. If soil, coco, or similar you can put the seed in right after you see the tail sprout. If using hydroton or any rougher coarser medium, let it go a couple of days to lengthen (because I have had too many get stuck trying to escape the plug), then insert into a grow plug, then you can insert the grow plug immediately or when the roots reach the outside into your hydroton.

Once the sprout breaks the surface of the soil/medium it needs light. Don't blast them with your full lights, just use a few CFLs or something weaker like that. 16+ hours of light.

If you leave them for 2 full weeks without light you will need to order more seeds because they will be dead.
