I know this is long so just stick with me for a sec....
So a little background first:
found these seeds and decided what the fuck...needed a new hobbie :joint: ( : look at the pics for how i set it up.
This is in a small bathroom with 80 temp and window for venting. Ive been doing alot of research on the matter i.e. temp, soil, co2 etc. I started using a basic potting soil but something just wasnt working so last night I made a soil mixture of: 60% organic soil 15% basic soil, 15% perlite and 10% sand (no salt) (the organic and perlite are miracel grow, the basic soil is Expert perfect soil) I am also using a miracle grow flower food (18-24-16 ) putting very little in to the water. I also heard that the drops you put into fish water are good for ph balance so I put a drop in.... Thats the set up.
The plants are about 12 days old now and were all started at the same time...
I also have pics of the plants from today up. If you look at the pics all of the plants are at different levels (the really small ones barely even growing...but not really dieing) I replanted the plants last night and today I am seeing that one the smallest of the two big plants its getting dry on the tips, turning a bit yellow and curling up (see pic)....
Ive been reading and think it might be nute burn??? what do you think??? I need some advice!!! on anything you want to comment on, my ears are open!!! thank you!:peace:

You need to separate your plants... Each plants needs its own pot.... Im not sure what your problem might be... But they are still babies, you need to let them grow a little... The soil has enough nutrients for a couple of weeks... So let them grow then up your nutrients. That in my opinion is the first thing i see you doing wrong...:)

Do you remember how much of the fertilizer you gave them and how much water you mixed that all in? Seems that a gallon of water is the standard amount of water to feed with. I burned a few plants recently because I only had a few 2 liter bottles laying around and messed the conversion.

Most people would suggest waiting 2-3 weeks or waiting till the plant has a few nodes before adding fertilizers because of the nutrients already in the soil. How much water did you flush that all out with? I think you're supposed to flush with at least twice the amount of water that your pot holds.

Good luck! I hope things get better over the next few days

I wouldnt' transplant just yet as they are stressed enuff right now. Flush the soil with three gallons of water pr pot. Are u PHjng your water?, using tap water? As long as u flush and use good ph'd water, your plants will have all they need at this stage. Don't water too often let the soil dry out to allow more oxygen. Shake all your water vigorously before applying it, this will aerate the water giving the roots even more oxygen.

I am using tap water right now but heres the story on that: I heard that you can use the drops you but in beta fish water...anyone heard about that? so i put two drops in the last thing of water im working on finding a ph meter now...it seems that all the stores that carry gardening shit are just putting it out (we dont have much for gardening supply places around here)

Check a pet store, just get the strips or the solution (for fish tanks)they are $6 bux for the tester and about$6 bux for PH up and $6 for the ph down, anything is better than nothing. Then when u get 40 bux go on ebay and get a tds meter and a good PH tester. I just got them both for 40 or 50 bux. The local hydro shop wante $200 for identical shit...

hey im back with more pics, and more questions!!! My plants are one month old, and about 6-8 inches tall. i have them on an 18-6 light cycle, and watering them once to twice a week with about quarter nutes. We upgraded and now have two 42 watt CFL's on each plant. The plants obviously went through nute burn and over watering but it has been looking a lot healthier lately. I have trimmed some of the dead growth from the origional nute burn off, but our plant seems to keep haveing problems. All of the fan leaves on the plant seem to turn yellow/brown at the tips, and the lower leaves are turning a very pale yellow, with some of them dieing, the stems have also turned a redish color! does anyone have any suggestions on what is wrong and how i can fix this problem. Also about when should i throw this plant into flowering, im just not sure since it went through a stunted growth peroid?

I've read that when you get red stems, this could be a NPK deficiency. But I don't see how they could have a deficiency problem if you recently had a over feeding problem.

What's your waters ph at with nutes added? Without nutes?

i use a tablet for fish tanks that balances ph at 7.0, so right at 7.0 without nutes, and with nutes close to it but slightly acidic! I guess im not totally sure if it went through nute burn, that was just everyones best guess, overwatering had a lot to do with it i think, but i have cut way back on that and the lower leaves are still turning yellow. What should i do if it is a NPK deficiency??

LOL, well an NPK deficiency would mean that it would need some nutes. Like I said, this is just something that I've read. And the fact that they just had nute burn, kinda makes me think not. Ask Google, see what she thinks. Can't go wrong that way. Compare sources...

So your ph is close to acidic? You want it at like 6.2. I'd say that would be a safe range.

Red stems are a sign of a K problem, but red stems can be a genetic trait in some plants, especially in equatorial strains, and cold temperatures can cause stems to turn red as well. Be careful not to misdiagnose these symptoms as a K deficiency and risk overfeeding your plant.
I'll look for more on this subject matter....

Also, red stems are a character trait for some plants...

Symptoms that accompany N deficiency include red stems and petioles, smaller leaves, slow growth, and a smaller, sparse profile. Usually there is a rapid yellowing and loss of the lower leaves that progresses quickly to the top of the plant unless nitrogen is soon added.
That there says red stems is a sign of an N deficiency. So it could be an NPK issue or it could be a character trait of that plant.

I am having the exact same symptoms with mine. Exept I am using Flood and Drain! I have looked everywhere tring to find out what this is and gave up. I am just riding it out and hopefully they will live cause everything is spot on what it should be.
