thanks man, ya the pots im using were originally taller, i cut maybe an inch off but i think im gonna have to make them even smaller next grow. it comes down to my case just being way to small, the pots literally take up half the growspace lol.

autos would work perfect for the case you have there in my opinion, but thats cool your tryin to grow photoperiod strains.. are you gonna do 12/12 from seed? autos are cool cus you dont need to 12/12.. you can literally 20/4 through the whole grow, they dont grow out of control with the short 3 week veg time, although they do tend to stretch a lil bit in flower, but relatively stay short and in 60-70 days you have some great smoke.

thats enough rambling for now :peace: happy growing

Well maybe a new home will do her some good. I checked in when I woke up and there doesnt appear to be any ill effects from the pot transfer. The seedling is standing straight up and it looks as if there might be a growth starting soon (fingers crossed). Im slightly concerned about the color, it looks a yellower than it should, and there are a few spots on it. Ill let it adjust to the new pot and keep an eye on it and see if it gets any better.

UPDATE:

Well, after much bullshit, Ive came to the conclusion that the seeds I were using are bunk ass shit. Ive germed three of them, one died from fried taproot, one is a fuckin mutant retard thats not doing shit, and the third has been in wet towels for 6 days and isnt doing shit. So what did I do? Fuck em all!!

I picked up a White Widow and a Blue Widow seed from a buddy. They were the dynafem seeds from attitude so Im feelin a little better about the quality of them. I put them in wet towels last night and today the BW has already popped and the WW is cracking its seed.

I soaked a Rooter plug and squeezed out the extra moisture. I took the advice of the almighty GrizzlyAdams and poked a hole down to about halfway thru the plug. I dropped the seed down in there, covered it up, and then put it in a shot glass. What now? Someone mentioned indirect light til the roots take off, then into a pot. How about a humidity dome on top of my shot glass?

Well this is where im at.....im hopin the WW will be ready to put in a plug tonight. Now that Im on the right track, things are looking up!!! :leaf:

Alright guys, talk to me about my fan setup.

If you look at the attached picture:

the 2 fans on the right are 92mm, 70CFM fans ( http://www.cwc-group.com/ds8.html )

The 2 fans on the left are 120mm exhaust fans 90CFM (http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0312369)

I was using a glass pane in the top but ive since took it out to see if it is absorbing any light to my plant.

My question is this: Am i better off with only the single intake fan at the bottom right of the case and the 2 exhaust fans on the left? Its hard for me to imagine that the one intake fan blowing on the light isnt keeping the temp down. Im not having any temp probs now, just wondering what would be an optimal solution.
Sorry if this is late advice but, u dont want an INTAKE fan blowing on ur lights. what u do want is to position the lights right next to an EXHAUST, and have an INTAKE fan blowing on ur plants. With ur set up i would put two EXHAUST fans up by the lights, with both fans on the same side, and put two INTAKE fans on the opposite side, at the bottom.

I appreciate the feedback, My thoughts were that I had the piece of glass in there and keeping the "light chamber" cool was a good thing. I think I still have a good circulation and negative pressure with the bigger fans blowing out. Thats definitely a good point tho, considering where Im at right now. Thanks!!

Im gonna use a separate flower box, so I figured I didnt need to mess with the Autos. I almost ordered some lowryders, but I think I wanna learn the whole photoperiod process so when I upgrade to a bigger setup, im a little more familiar.

UPDATE:

Checked on my plugs overnight and they were pretty dry. I read around on the forum and it I found out u can water the plugs and they drain out the excess water. I made sure I didnt saturate them but they are moist now like they were yesterday. :leaf:

Im gonna take them out of my case. The light is just drying them out. So they dont need to be in direct light til they grow out of the plugs right?

On another note, I got tired of looking at this week ass sprout so I pulled it up to see what happened. The roots are totally fried out. The taproot goes down into about 10 fried out frail roots. Im pretty sure a combo of old seeds and the FF soil toasted them. Oh well, live and learn. Im doin better with the Widow seeds anyways so eff it. Thats all I have to report today, see you tomorrow :)

Here is what Im contemplating using for a pot. I can fit 3 this size in the case. It comes out to about a 1/2 gallon pot. My plant is getting very tall so Im thinkin if I can black this out so no light gets in, it should work

The WW's taproot has poked out the bottom of the plug thru the drain hole. Time to transport to the pot?

when its a little baby sprout you dont have to keep it so close to the light thats an easy way to fry and kill a baby sprout yes even with CFLS.. you can move it closer to the lights as it develops more leaf sets.. seedling stage focuses mostly on the root system so a ton of light doesnt really matter at this point. keep the medium moist never let it dry and dont over water bam your good
