Hey guys,

So I have grown a couple times indoors and this is my first try outdoors. I have 10 plants growing in pots in a forrest but i dont know if theyre getting enough light. Theres a big gap in the trees above and its not very thick so i thought they would be fine but its been almost 3 weeks and i havent seen alot of growth, but i might just be used to the rapid growth from growing indoors. And comments would be very helpful as i am new to the outdoor game. Also any info on nutes for outdoor growing would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
McB

whats going on man. Well ill tell you what if your plants werent getting enough light they would be stretching. I'm kinda of new to this but im having the same problem you are. I have been growing a few plants for 3 weeks and they are about 1 level above yours. I think its because of the plant nothing to do with light.

The tree gap doesn't seem very big. Have you checked the spot at diff. times of day to see how much sun it gets? I know this can be kind of difficult but it would show you how much sun you're getting each day...

That's an interesting spot you have there. It's really flat! What is it?

it seems to get pretty good light most of the day until around 5 or 6, but it gets light really early in the morning. Its actually a really big bushed in hill, took me about 2 days to cut through it to get to the right spot then i built a ledge into the hill using the stuff around me (survivorman style) haha. So you think they look a looking small for 3 weeks?

yeah, kinda small for 3 weeks. what strain are you growing? they're small now, but next week they may take a grow spurt. need a little info about your setup, medium, nutes etc???

Thats a bad ass little spot if it got more light that would be a spot you grow each year really liking the little platform.

I am also growing for the first time outdoors...5 hours of direct sunlight each day is Ideal, but I have noticed mine grow slower outside than my previous indoor crops. You should be fine I would say. Your set up looks nice btw. you can check out my gig if you like..

What up peeps, so a week later and i took some new pics, they seem to have a pretty good growth spurt the past 4 days so thats nice, it had been cloudy and rainy the past week here so thats probably why they werent growing so slow. I'd say the spot gets about 5 hours of direct sunlight in a day and another 3 or 4 through the bush and trees. Since its been raining alot i think all the nutes in the soil are gone so i need to go pick up in the next couple of days, so any suggestions for nutes? The strain is Early Wonder Skunk (Autoflowering). And thanks, i worked pretty hard to build that platform, i was quite proud upon completion... :bigjoint: lol. I wish you could see how steep the hill actually is, the pictures dont really do it justice. I'm gonna keep updating this thread from now on and basically use it as a grow journal, so check back for updates!

im was using shultz 10-10-10. it comes in a little bottle with a dripper and you add it in with your water but now Im preparing to switch nutes over to my flowering nutes. I bought MG shake n' feed bloom booster, spread that all around my plants and then mulched over everything. Also I have MG Bloom booster that is in granular form that you mix in with the water...I will be using that as well when the time comes.
