New Light Cycle

Four years ago I heard about some guys in Los Angeles flowering their plants on a 12 on 6 off light cycle. It took me a few years to get around to it due to my own speculation and doubt but, I tried it and it worked.

Before all of you self proclaimed Gurus start telling me this does not work or you have never heard of it, therefore it does not work, save it, I have heard all of these arguments already. Don't tell me just because you have not seen your own liver or kidneys, that they must not exist.

I am not here for a flame war. I welcome input and hope to see all benefit from this information.

Below is my website, I beg admin. here to leave this post up I am an individual not a big company, just trying to make my contribution and maybe sell a timer or two. This is not a gimmick, it works, try it before you knock it.

whats the extra 6 hours u not using? how do u get around that?? i guess im jus old skool i'll stick with 12/12
I also have been around for a while and had many questions. The extra 6 hours not in use is the benefit of this light cycle. It shortens your time between harvests by giving you 9 light cycles a week instead of 7. The actual math works out to 22.7% decrease in time between harvests.

I think I missed the boat on this one. 24 hours in a day. 12 hours on,6 hours off,and 6 hours not in use . Explain 6 hours not in use (wich my mind tells me is dark time). Unless you mean 12 hours on,6 hours off, then 12 hours on,6 hours off in a cycle.

how would we monitor a 24 hr timer to make it 18?

this maths checks out...9.3 "light cycles" per week.

though it doesnt make alot of sense...if we add the number of hours needed to make 24hrs, then it increases to 15/9 (12/6 -> 13/7 -> 14/8 -> 15/9).

i dont know anybody that uses this light schedule, but what i do know, is 12/6 = 55.8 hrs of dark a week and 112.2 hrs light per week. under a 12/12 schedule we find 84 hrs light/dark per week.

this isnt so much a discussion on light schedules but perhaps the efficiency/need/use of the dark hrs.

Just another post from a child who should be outside playing instead of trying to commune in an adult world.

Wardo??? To spam or not to spam ?
Really? I thought about for a bit now, I think I understand what he is saying, and I believe it would work!
I have a spare room I was going to use anyway, and a spare hood, I will set it up this weekend and give you a report in a few months.

NBKA, will be interested to see how it goes. but wouldnt there be negative effects for less dark hrs?
can you explain also how you would set up a timer?
i dont see anything but weird hermies or even runts being possible...but see what happens...if it does.
