ha ha ha ha!! California has an ocean, new jersey has a tidal swamp full of discarded medical waste and spray-tanned dipshits.

So I'm going to assume you've never been to Cape May then. Or you're just basing your opinions on television. And from my experience, the real capitol of the guido dbags isn't Jersey, its Vegas.

That's great for them.

Personally I don't care one way or another. My only opinion is that the FED stays the hell away from it. Leave it a state issue.

How is the state any better equipped to fuck with people than the feds? Why not just let individuals freely decide what they will do and seal it with an enforceable contract if they are inclined to? It's nobodies business other than the consenting participants.

lol, yeah I agree with that one. Unfortunately we live in a world where bueracrats think they know what is best for us dumb dumbs. So they make laws. I don't really follow the movement. So I am un informed on this. Just my opinion.

FED = Millions of Votes
State = Less Millions of Votes

I like my chances with the state. If you don't like their laws you can always move. Much harder to leave an entire country.

If you don't like their laws and you know ignoring them harms nobody they should be ignored. Obeying bad laws is foolish and absurd, slavish even.

I also don't like jail.

But That isn't what I'm saying...

Federal laws are much harder to change. Where as state laws you are dealing with a much smaller number of voters. Therefore have a better chance living in a place that has like minds.

People naturally want to be around people that are similar to them. That's why there is still so much segregation... i.e. Chinatown, Korea Town, India Town, etc.

People in Texas like guns and blah blah, CA has shit gun laws if you don't like them you can move to a different state.

Federally cannabis is illegal. Some states decided to ignore those laws. My opinion is the FED should not have control of these decisions. Let the states vote and decide what they want.

FED should have 3 responibilities only:
Interstate Commerce (Can't have 50 different trailer regulations)
Protect our Country (Army)
Mail Services
... And there is something else just can't think of it right now. But I don't want their hands in every law and decision that is "best for me."

Bureaucrats don't think real life situation. Everything is always perfect on paper.

RIGHT NOW gays could be penetrating each other somewhere in the world...

Oh sweet Jah-he-sus, how will I survive the night!

And the mentality above is why gays get a hard time (no pun intended), some people (Rick Santorum, Im looking at you) literally CANNOT stop thinking about gay people and their private interactions as if it had ANY effect on their life, at all.

Personally, I don't care if you fuck a unicorn...just don't fuck MY unicorn.

Are you referring to the mentality that the states should be in charge of what they want and not the dimwits in DC?

does the 14th amendment vary from state to state, dummy?
Who outlawed gay marriage? Was it the state or the FED?

Which one do you think is easier to reverse?

***Edit*** I don't think there is an actual law but there is a case where it was deemed unconstitutional. If a States want to legalize it (recognize them as a married couple), by all means pass the vote and congratulations for doing so. I don't want the FED forcing anything on anyone of us. Leave it to the states to vote in or vote out.

shut the fuck up, please.

the constitution is one thing the fed has every right to "force" on anyone of us.

and the 14th amendment does not vary from state to state.

ya see what i did? i actually answered the question since you were too much of a gigantic vagina to do so.

What are you arguing? I've already said I am un informed and expressing my opinion. In addition to that I have expressed that I do not want the FED involved on this or any other matter. If the states want it they'll pass it.

Not sure why so much hostility towards everyone? I do suppose that is the definition of a troll.

there is a constitutional principle called "Reciprocity" which requires all states to accept the licenses and contracts of all other states.

a nevada marriage license is valid in EVERY state, even in states which require far more details before issuing such licenses. by that same principle, hawaii's gay marriages are legal and binding in every state, hence the ongoing flap.

many states do not want gay marriages, yet even one state accepting such unions would compel every other state to accept and honor their licenses. the laws governing marriage (and especially divorce) are complex as fuck, with every state doing it differently. adding a whole new class of "Marriage" is throwing a monkey wrench into the already worn out, rusty and badly damaged gears of Family Law. add in the religious convictions of several prominent faiths (mormons catholics, baptists jehovahs witnesses, 7th day adventists, etc etc etc...) and the whole gay marriage controversy is a trainwreck.

personally i dont give a damn who anyone wants to marry, or how they roll in the bedroom, but when Gay Divorce becomes a thing, thats gonna be hilarious as fuck.

I had no idea that's how it was. So essentially it is a contract that everyone must recognize. (In reference to marriage)

yep.

thats why the court ruling.

the court as i recall, ruled that any "Gay Marriage" was invalid except in that state, or in other states which have elected to honor them, and all "Gay Marriages" would be considered "Domestic Partnerships" with regards to federal law and whatnot.

then you got douches like Gavin "Any Twosome" Newsome conducting "Gay Marriages" in direct violation of california law, and court injunctions based on his Plenipotentiary Power as Mayor of SF...

that really cheesed off a lot of people, and was a prime reason Prop 8 passed.

Edit.. so high i forgot which side the prop was on...

anyhow, the court used the now familiar "You Have No Standing" dodge to vacate the ruling of constitutionality for prop 8 (from the ninth circuit, would you believe) thanks to Jerry Moonbeam Brown refusing to defend a lawfully passed amendment to the Calif Constitution.

hell if you cant win, SANDBAG IT.
