New harvest dry and cure method

Sometimes the whole plant isnt done at the same time, so my place it in the dark method isnt suitable now.

if the bud u cut needs ripening, i cut the bud bransh at a 45 and place in a vase like you would a flower and put back into grow room for 12 hours. This seems to ripen things up quickly yet keep it hydrated for even trimming. Not only that but you are fully flushed.

if the bud is already ripe then trim it like ur an artist and make it reek of freshly cut bud! (makes my eyes tear sometimes with trainwreck lol) I leave a few inches of stem on the bud and clip it also at a 45. I buy a water bottle with sprng water or ro water and i melt a hole in the cap. I slight the stem down into the hole so that its submersed. Then I placed the cleanly shaven bud and its sealed off vase under a low powered flourescent like you would for seedlings. You can keep them here until they soften up a bit. this can range between 12-24 hrs. The softening just tells you its done drawing water up or its losing it just as fast through its cuts in the leaflets. Now you may remove the bud from the bottle keeping the stem extra long for hang drying.

Both methods saturate the stem with pure water. during hanging the pure water runs through the stems and bud as it dries. This further flushes the bud, but since the bud is done photosynthesizing, we want to do this in the dark like usual. A saturated stem will cause the bud to dry much slower.

I very slightly compress the buds gently and evenly to reshape them when they get crispy on the edges. not only to prevent brittle shake from loosening up on the bud and falling off, but to also lengthen the dry time and provide a transition that prematurely starts the fermentation and curing process. after about 1-2 weeks of simply drying after the compression, you can just put a single finger on the top of the bud and if you can bend it can cause the bud to snap off simply by wiggling it downward with your finger then its ready for the jar!

Then i burp. If things arent sweet enough after a week of burping, I keep the jar open and lay things out for a day and then repeat the process for a week. Then I leave the jar open until if loses every part of the musty smell. Then at about week 3-5 it all of a sudden switches to a pungent sweetness. Sample a bud and continue to smoke it slowly little by little. This will be the source of your burping now until it is consumed by somone!

Please be critical with your responses!

This seems like a great method. Especially for soil growers who can't completely flush their medium. I'll give it a try on my next harvest.

So, for one or two whole plants, you cut each branch off individually and stick them n their own water bottle, or do you put the base stem of the entire plant in the water? If you cut branches off first, do you put multiple branches in one bottle?

Yeah, it's like putting flowers in a vase.

After you chop never forget to kush the weed! T prefer RO water and I have a trough on the wall in my budding room. The shoots get 12 hours hps, from a distance. A float valve ensures they don't go dry before the process is completed. after the 12 hour dark cycle when the hps comes back on I go in and remove them to the mother room for trimming etc. This is a 24 hour cure flush that greatly enhances flavour. Some weeds and hash made from them smell and taste like candy when this process is used. Your orange but will truly taste and smell like oranges and the skunk will emenate right through the bottle etc.
