I have just started growing and have started up a few. I wanted to see if there was any problems with these that maybe I am not seeing being inexperienced. The Cotyledons on both are pretty yellow as are the first leafs at the tips coming in. Growing with CFL.

It's quite normal for the cotyledons to fade, but if it's continuing up the plant then it's time for a light (half strength) feed...
Looking good...and well come to RollItUp! ;)

seedlings look good dude, and as for nutes well when there that small we tend to not need to feed them as the soil keeps them going for a couple of weeks, can i ask how many cfl`s, and whats there actual wattage not there equivilant wattage, looks like you could do with some more on them....

as is always the case with cfl`s... you need more... i`ve done 3 grows under cfl and there a fantastic light to veg under, but lack the punch of hps for serious yeild, so you might want to look into hps now, that said cfl are great for tight spaces to grow in and small pc box`s etc...

yea fluorescent light is great for Veg.

keep em close, 2-6 inch`s from the tops or they wont provide enough light, and try to keep the plants low and busy (look in to LST or topping or both)

what kind of soil is that ? do you have perlite in it ? and what kind of pot ? make sure it have good big drain hole`S

but look nice and healthy and perfectly normal for the fist small leaf`s to yellowing and fall off ..

I don't really have a great setup each 5 gallon pot has one CFL which I believe are around 20 something watts, I got the highest lumens possible with reflectors. I also have a 4' Fluorescent Light that needs a couple new bulbs should I use that instead? The soil is just Some MG Potting Soil.

are the cfl`s 6500k, it should be wrote at the bottom of the bulb, and we all started somewhere i was much like yourself with some small wattage cfl`s and built it up as i went along both in experience and getting used to the life cycle of the plant, hang in there and you`ll find your way ....

soil seems ok possibly a little larger pot and some fresh soil should straighten her up for you, and move the light to within a couple of inchs, if you can a circulateing fan it`ll help build the stem strong..

On that burn spot should I trim it off just wondering? Or will it fuck up the food source for the plant?
