i have a large walkin closet that i was thinking about growing in.7'x4' inside... i have a 400watt hps light and an aeroponic box with 4 4" net pots a 250gph water pump and 10 360 degree sprayers in a 18gallon tote. i have technaflora nutes (recipe for success). i also have 2 humidity domes one short for pucks and a taller one for ready rooters + a heat mat. what else should i think about or need... and my sprayers caue my box to leak any ideas how to fix it i placed some ruber weather stripping on it but it is leaking...

If you plan on any veg time at all you may as well plan on one plant one tote, take a look at what I came up with at https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/346967-my-first-grow.html#post4373353
These 18 gallon totes cost me somewhere around 60 bucks per unit to build not including net pots and hydroton , air pumps or oxygenators. They work really well and the lids don't leak a bit.
I originally built a 3 site 37 gallon tote and soon found that I wouldn't be using it for anything more than veg because I ran out of room,

As a new grower, I'd suggest sticking to soil or hydroton setups. Probably gonna be your best bet as a first grow. Just my 2 cents.

You can have the most up to date equipment any where but if you do not have good air exchange then the crop will suffer you need to take the messurements to you local hydroponic shop and get a good exaust fan also a fan that will bring fresh air into the room.If it is a room with in a room like a walk in closet then you can pull the fresh air from the main room and exaust if possible into a loft space. If you don't want to do that then exaust into the same room has you are pulling air in from but put the intake on a widow cill so it's pulling in fresh air not the air that the room has just exausted out.If you are gonna exaust into the main room the g#room is in then i would advice getting a ossalating fan to cool the air down. This all realy depends on haow commited to growing you are if you are gonna do this has a long term venture then i would get the hot air ito a loft space or out of the room the g#room is in.If you are gonna exaust and bring air in from the same room then make sure that you have the intake and outakes at differant sides of the grow room or you will find that you are pulling in air that has just been exausted out.tape the intake to a window cill with the widow ajar so you know the plants are getting plenty of fresh air,but do not vent hot air directly out of a window the heat will be picked up of the police and a knock athe door will follow.Good luck you need any advice post a question to my page and i will help where i can.............peace tyke.........................

still looking for vent solutions... i can provide pictures if it would help
pictures would greatly help !
also, by hydroton setup I meant the EBB and FLOW method. Very easy to do even for a newb and once done, very, very easy to maintain.
Basically you have two rubbermaid tubs. One on top of the other (usually).
One tub (the top one) has all your plants in hydroton clay pellets the other (bottom one) has your "soup" (nutrient mix).
About 3 times / day for 10-15 minutes a pump floods the plants completely with the soup from the bottom tub and then gravity pulls the water back to the bottom tub.
Very easy to do. You might find a DIY article on RIU somewhere. Good luck.

Post some pics too !

My 2 cents says "fuck soil" . Go for yield your first grow. build as many of these as you have space for and get this shit going.........oh, and fuck those bubble buckets too, if I had more room they wouldn't even be in the picture.

where is the waterpump on that? i have something similar built but with a rubbermaid tub... and 4 4" net pots my 360 degree sprayers are spraying up... i will get some pictures up later tonight... how many gallons does it take to submerge the pump..and how do you do the nutes i keep hearing start it off weak ... some1 also told me it is better to run sprayers all the time?....keep in mind i am new to all this and only know what i have read....and my vent problem needs to be stealthy due to some of the household not needing to know

here's what i got

those are some very VERY unhappy and unhealthy seedlings. Your problem is that they are waaaaaay too far from the Fluorescent lighting. Try putting them up on blocks, books, whatever you can find to get them within 1 inch of the fluoros. They are stretching like crazy man !!!!

Keep a close eye on the clones, they are probably going thru some shock at the moment. As long as the leaves stay green, they will live and pick up the leaves soon.
As far as the seedlings, put them in some plastic beer cups and cover the long stems all the way up to about 1/2 inch of the leaves. The one in the back left corner (in the pic) will probably die but it's as they say: it ain't over until it's over.

Theres a filter and water pump on the right hand side, its a 400 gph water pump, the filter is pretty big , you can find them at homedepot right by the sprinkler heads. The main problem with any design other than what I came up with just won't do for me, my last crop came in at like 5 foot tall and the flimsy lids just weren't adequate. So in my design the plumbing serves two purposes, to enforce the lid ( you could probably stand on it) and to spray the roots with my fave AN nutes. If you plan on any veg time at all a 4 site 18 gallon unit just isn't realistic , one site one tote. For cloning/veg a multiple site unit works fine but as I said if you intend to veg at all you better look into a different plan, and to the dude thats all talking up mother nature, mother nature isn't always optimal with conditions but if you like dirt you like dirt, to each his own but if you're gonna do it you may as well go for yield. wtf you're gonna do with the excess I dunno(colorado amendment 20 compliant here).the picture of the water pump and filter are actually my first design on that tote, thats before I realized the lid needed support so I changed it up to the plumbing in the photo up above.
