ya'll want the good news or bad news first? good news is i was able to save six plant to keep as mothers and im not in prison, bad news is i had to cut down about 15 mature plants, about 100 clones and about 30 other mid-size plants. oh and that grow room tears down alot quicker than it sets up. im laying low til round winter time, then ill be back with a similar set up. for everyone out there who has ever had to decide whether to chance it or cut your plants all i can say is ya gotta know when to hold em and know when to fold em. trust me its much better out running free than sitting up in some jail cell.

landlords needed to come in and do an "inspection" before they leave for florida. The whole thing was bullshit, but it is their right if they give me advanced notice.....

i put on a good show however. I cleaned the hell outta the entire house, straightened it up; it was pristine. no one would have ever known there was a grow op in that room. the whole inspection was a joke, they were in for 10 mins and gone. Its ok, that's what i wanted; for them to not worry about me here and for them to see how i keep the old place up and in good shape.

So i got at least 3 home free months to do w/e in here while they are in Florida. Im working on setting the room back up, but i dont want to attach stuff to the walls again. i salvaged most all of my parts from the old set up and what i plan to do is just set up 2 partition walls or just build 2 "cabinets" that are just smaller than the inside perimeter of the room. essentially ill be working with approximately 12x 8 space and using about 60% of that area to flower in, the rest is veg, and i still have the 2 plywood cabinets to clone and sprout seedlings in.

My 6 mother plants are doing just fine, im planning to transplant to larger containers soon. I was pretty upset to have to waste all that time and work on the soil, so i decided to keep the rootballs. im planning to build a compost tumbler and reuse the soil in my base soil on my next mixture of soil. im donw to only 1 trashcan of unused supersoil so i am really trying to reserve that for my flowering plants only at this time as it will take 30-60 days for the next batch to be ready.

Set-backs suck, i went from an overabundance of green vegetative plants to scraggling to get something into the flower room. One positive thing is that i can try the experiment of starting seedlings directly into flower as i will be sprouting some new beans soon....so we'll see how that goes.

One last thing, my car was broken into and most all my shit was stolen. so as of now i have no camera, and with this set back, no bud, and a grim outlook on purchasing a new camera as funds are low and im not emplyed

gotta love life :)

more good news, i got the rooms set up again, my brother is going to let me borrow his camera so i can get some pix up of the new set up. I think this will be a better set up than what i was running. Now all that is left to do is put up the reflectix material again.

The 6 mothers i got are doing great, i will be cloning those in the next few days.

I started 12 assorted indoor mix seeds for my 12/12 from seed experiment. Im not comitted to it right now though, i will probably clone those as soon as they are big enough and flower the rooted clones to sex them. With all the set backs i've had getting this show up and running im trying to play it safe and stick to what i know best.

I will have updates on the RE-BUILD with new pictures by the end of the weekend. Once the rooms are set i will start my grow journal and leave this thread for any issues, new equipment, or upgrades to my rooms.

i hear ya man, they are old as hell and im trying to get in good with them and get a possible land contract deal out of it before one of them dies. This old place is hit, but it sits on nice land and its outside the city on a dead end road...plus the neighbors are chill so i kinda got it good in some ways

hey all, im not dead and gone, i just seem to get in these modes where im away from roll it up, mostly due to the fact that i am without a camera. everything is well in the garden. i am about 4-5 weeks from harvest. no pictures to update, but i have a short youtube video of the garden posted

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLbJf-ixXfE

at that link, so check it out. i know the room is in disrepair and parts are sloppy, but i had it done very nicely and had to tear down due to inspection. i have not had the spare money to put into it right now. once i get this crop harvested i've got some new ideas for revamping the rooms. stay tuned all!

Looks great man. Your my kinda man if something worth doing, it worth doing it right. What are you using for exhaust? did you ever figure out your light leakage probleM? Have you thought of bubble wrapping your flower box? I think youd make better use of all your light that way.

i don't exhaust right now because i have my A/C unit bringing in fresh air and the furnace heating the room as well. i have the standard oscillating fan for circulation inside the room. i do have a 465 cfm blower i could put up but im not going to do that until i get my new 600W light. Im ordering a new digital 600W HPS for the Veg room because im going to flower all the mother plants. I used to have the Reflectix all around the flower room, but i had to tear it all down for an inspection....its in the 2-3 page of this thread if you wanna read about it. There are pictures from when i originally set it up in this thread to. i just couldn't Salvage enough material to do the entire room again. after i harvest im going to dry the buds in there and then fix it up for the next batch of clones

yeah they are simple. its just a shallow rubbermaid storage box, hole saw, foam pad, air pump, aqua fuse and reflective foil tape. It really needs a higer quality pump or more air diffusion or both. Also i kinda fudged the holes in the first 2 i made, i could easily have fit more holes in the lids of those ones. My small cloner hold 8 large cloner hold 14 and snother large one with different hole pattern in the lid hold 24 with ease. I was cautious not to "swiss cheese" the lid up and make it not sturdy with the first 2, but 24 works well. i could have prolly fit 15 or so in the small cloner too. I only ran ph balanced water in them and clonex or root tech gel. i don't even use them anymore though. i just dip the clones in gel and stick that in rapid rooters and get equally comparable results. Rock wool cubes also work well for me.

cool, i'm gonna make one. i went from 100% to about 50% with my clones. i soak in superthrive/water, then dip in gel then in soil in a dome. spray under side of the leaves a couple of times a day. i can't figure out what has changed so i am gonna try a cloner. i also am gonna follow your design on the room build. showed the mrs and she said ok you can do that :-)

the way it is now i only put a total of 16 holes in the entire room and constructed 2 partition walls. 4 screws in floor each wall and the ceiling. used only 2x2 lumber and some particle board to cover the windows.... and lots of staple (edit)

Those cloners are fool proof, 100% every time as long as you don't let the PH get out of control. I was cloning in the middle of summer in an uncooled attic in my home. it was like a low of 60 F at night and like 95 F in the hottest part of the day and i was still successful. With these cloners you don't have to spray the leaves, or use a humidity dome...i've tried it and found they are not NEEDED but its up to you

Superthrive is great stuff, i actually used to use it alot, but it wasn't NEEDED so i couldnt really justify the price as it is pretty expensive stuff.

Since i rent here, my rooms aren't professional, but they are solid, tidy, roomy, and easy to modify, add, upgrade, or change to suit your needs. These are really a great starter room design. Once i get my other 600W i'll be updating this thread with that and also air ventilation. The room i got is about 7 Feet wide and about 12 feet long and since i wanted 2 rooms splitting it like i have is really ideal. If i had the space i would like to just use the whole 7x10ft as one room and add another light or a light mover to increase coverage. like i said its solid and versatile, and comes down very easily if need be...and it doesn't require major modifications to your home.

about 6.0 just dont let it go above 7 or below 5.5 and they will root. i've experimented and rooted them in just ph neutral water just fine, but i've found they do better at a slightly more acidic ph

im going to post another video of my room tomorrow and pull out some plants and show some close up of the individual plants. i need to water tomorrow anyways so i will have the plants out of the room anyways.

check back!
