New Grow Journal... pics, detailed *Strain - Double Gum*

So after a week of impatient waiting I finally recieved my seeds from seed-boutique. I chose the strain Double gum which is supposed to have the bubble gum flavor. yum! Upon opening the package I decided to put 2 seeds in moist paper towel to germinate. Only 2 because of my limited grow space.

Im in an apt.
I have a stealth rubbermaid grow box with 6 26 watt cfls mounted in the upper section and 2 42 watt cfls in lamps to aim light.

DAY 1:

Placed 2 seeds in paper towel for germination.


DAY 2:

Seeds both cracked already.
Planted in separate 16 oz dixie cups with Fox Farms Ocean Forest Potting soil (a must have!)

Plant 1 --- "Mary Jane"
Plant 2 --- "Ganja Baby"

DAY 3: No activity.....mist the top of the soil to keep moist .....hopefully they peek their little heads out soon

Well day four at about 6 pm "Ganja Babe" showed her little head....look at the picture...!!

Id like to know has anyone ever grown the strain Double Gum before and if so howd it go???

Also on my last attempt I did 24 hrs light...... but ive also heard of 18/6...
My question is..... Does one make more likely to be female.....or are they both ok? I seemed to have no probs on my last grow though.....anyways...

well i think of it like this my friend. 18/6 light schedule is more natural than lets say a 24/0. unless you have a strain that grows good in alaska then i dont think 24/0 is the most natural way to grow. also, plants use the stored energy they gather from the sun during the night to have an explosion of growth. so overall i like to stick to a 18/6
