It's for personal use.
I think about it like....hot climate ok...so if you do RDWC you have another point of failure for non-potent shit buds --> the temperature of your reservoir. With ebb and flow you can eliminate that if you keep the room at a decent temperature (i.e. below 85 most of the time). If it goes above for a short period of a few days with ebb and flow you are ok. With RDWC you are fucked root rot has snuck in and is raping your women already.

Apologies, I am not going to read the whole thread but I too lived in a country with average temps in the high 30s (c) all summer and root rot was always a problem with dwc, I used chillers but got sick of paying money for that power and waste. Hempy buckets are in my opinion the best "hydro" option as people think of the term when it come to high temp grow environments, but I now use pro-mix and feed to waste which also works good in high temps. Believe it or not, it's still hydro.
