Ok I am doing my first decent grow (done one before but only with a couple of plants).
Firstly i have 3 different types of grow system in my grow room, i have a homemade flood and drain tank, a NFT system and an amazon aeroponic system. I can't make up my mind which to go with so thought if i did them all at the same time then i will see which is best.

My equipment is -
1x aeroponic propagator 12 site
2x 600 watt ballasts and bulbs
2x supernova air cooled reflectors
1x NFT tank and bits
1x flood and drain tray and resevoir
1x amazon 32 site aeroponic system

The nutrients i am using are the 3 part advanced nutes with Dr hornbys big bud. I also have some dutch master liquid light.

Firstly i have germinated 4 AK47 fems and 5 blue himilaya auto's. These all sprouted well and after the first leaves came through i put them in my flood and drain tank.
I have added some pics, sorry they aren't very good but taken on my phone.

Ok So so far i have 9 in the flood and drain and 16 nearly ready for the amazon. The lights i am using are the supernova air cooled reflectors both with 600watt lights. The reflectors are connected up with ducting and attached to a 200mm RVK A1 extraction fan. I have a fan speed controller attached.

As soon as the little ones in the propergator are ready and in the amazon i will be germinating the last of my AK47 Auto's and Blue himilaya Auto's. As these plants are auto flowering i am going to put quite a few in. And hopefully by the new year should have a good harvest.
I am always looking for any help or advise anyone can give so please feel free to give
kiss-ass

I have 8 ak47xNYCD from lowlife and interested to see how yours are doing.

I have grown some blueberryxAK47 from lowlife. It was my first grow and only 2 made it. i have enclosed some pics of the plants and the harvest

What strain did you grow headbusta?? I personally love how quick they grow, going in and seeing the difference everyday.

i like to setup bro.. looks good... im interested to see the comparison of systems and results.. i always like watching those types of grows.. sounds like you are solid tho... just make sure to keep your ph in range and your ppms right and you should have a lovely grow!! ill pull up a chair and take the ride with ya... bongsmilie

My Amazon came at last yesterday. After unpacking it and having a look i am quite impressed. i added 15 of my geminated short stuff mix. After having them in for the day and night they looked ok except for a couple having a yellowing on the tips (see pic)
I'm sure the problem isn't nutes or ph so am thinking it could be over watering??? Anyone any idea's????
The 9 in the flood and drain tray are looking good they have been in about a week and i have added pics
I want to add misters to my amazon and have had a look. I found some hozelock micro jet misters but don't think they will fit as they connect to a smaller tube.
Anyone got any idea how i can add them or know of any that will do the job?????????

Also i have put 10 ak47 auto and 5 more blue himalaya auto's in to germinate. I was thinking of putting some in the NFT tank i have but as i still have room in the amazon i was wondering if they would be ok in that??
Anyone know if they will be ok????

I have just ordered some hozelock irrigation mister microjet. They come in a pack of six so will have enough to swap over the one's n the amazon and on my aero propagator.
i will add some more pics of my poorly little ones to see if i can get some ideas of whats wrong with them.
I have been thinking about the nutes as i first discounted it as a problem. As i said before i am using advanced nutrient micro/grow/bloom. They do a table on there website of how much to use (just add res size) The ec is what they said it should be for the size and i measured the water with a flow metre so i knew how much. Be interested to see if it's wrong

I added the new misters today see pics. They seem to be all good. The plants in the flood and drain are looking great but some of the ones in the amazon are still a bit crispy :-?

what is the ph and the ppm/ec of your solution??

it looks like a slight case of nute burn.. is it progressing or just staying the same?? are they growing at all??

It is staying the same and they are growing well. The PH is 5.8 and the ec is 1.14 which is what advanced nutrients say it should be.:wall:

a lil bit of crispness around the edges isnt bad.. not every plant will look picture perfect as it grows.. thats just part of being a plant.. its like anything in nature.. there are imperfections.. as long as its not getting worse... and stunting growth.. it isnt much to worry about.. just keep an eye on it...

Here's some pics of how the baby's are getting on. The bigger one's in the white tank have been in for about 10 days and are looking great.
I decided to just add the new plants to my ones already in my amazon. Theres pics of both.
They seem to be all doing well and growing quick which always makes me happy.
