Status: Week 2 of flowering
Current setup:
3 23W CFL's
1 tabletop fan to simulate wind (strengthen stems)
12-12 light cycle
Nutrients I have:
Miracle Gro for household plants (8-7-6)
Miracid for acid-loving plants (30-10-10)

I have uploaded the current pics of her for everyone.

My main question is, because this is my very first grow, does anybody have any tips on how to maximize this plant? Watering frequency, nutrient advice, pruning advice, etc.

Any experts here wanna help me?:?

well i'm certainly no expert - currently working my way through my first grow myself - but I do know that the nutrients you have are more for the veg cycle. you have high N, whereas you want a lot more P for flowering, I believe. I've also read a lot of "expert" advice saying to avoid miracle grow, although I have yet to figure out why that is.

I'm also going to venture a guess and say that the amount of light you have on her will produce a very small yield. You might want to consider replacing the 23w bulbs with 42w, and perhaps adding a couple more floor lamps to light the bottom of the plant.....

just my 2 newbie cents

I noticed I had too much light up top when I realized the sex and saw a ton of white hairs up top but not much down low (no pun intended). I have one bulb directly above the plant and two desk lamps directed on the lower section now.

hey xucard, couple a tips. more light, work out what you can afford and put em' in there. 3 cfl's isnt enough for flowering plants. also you may want to put the plant into a bigger pot. that plastic jar may restrict root growth and drainage is also important. good luck mate!!!! also add molasses, 2tlbs per gal.
i have started to use it and it rocks!!! peace

I'm looking online for some more powerful CFLs that aren't sold at Walmart. There is a root drainage system in place, so that is not a problem. I just gotta get hopefully some more light on the lower portion of the plant.

you need more light. go for 6-8 32 w cfls if practical, or better a 250w + HID if possible. your plants look a little stretched but thats probably just the onset of flowering, otherwise they look nice. anyway LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT. good luck.
